Julie Dorfman MA, RD, LDN

After discovering my eating disorder and looking into various ways of combating it, I met with Julie Dorfman. She is not only knowledgeable when it comes to eating disorders, but is also compassionate during our sessions and listens to my struggles and offers solutions and ways around particular problems. She is wonderful to work with and always has a pleasant demeanor. Very highly recommended!

After battling an eating disorder for 30 years, finding a nutritionist who could guide and support me through recovery seemed a daunting task. I have never met a professional so invested in each of her clients and committed to meeting them where they are in an effort to work together to face the disorder head on. Julie thinks outside of the box and comes up with strategies never before presented to me. I was first referred to Julie when I discharged from residential eating disorder treatment, where she came highly recommended and I now see why. If you need a nutritionist with extensive experience in eating disorders, I can not recommend Julie more.

I was discharged from Renfrew and was looking for a dietician to help me with my recovery. Julie was highly recommended by Renfrew in Mt. Laurel and now I understand why. Not only is she very welcoming, but Julie is very knowledgeable about all the ins and outs of eating disorders. When something seems impossible to tackle, she always provides me with coping skills and recommends techniques I never even thought of. She makes me feel very comfortable and she even provides her cell number in case I need support! She's very dedicated to her clients. It was also an easy transition going from Renfrew to Julie because she was previously the Director of Nutrition Services at Renfrew in Philly. I'm so thankful to have Julie in my life as someone who is helping me fight through recovery. Thanks Julie! :)
