Tomo has cut my hair for years. His work is exceptional, meticulous, and consistent. The best barber I have found in nyc, especially for thick asian hair like mine.

I have been going here for over 4 years now! And I do absolutely love it and I keep going back/recommending to friends. However, I can no longer trust their ability to bleach hair correctly. My hair was fried to the point that clumps were falling out. Even a week after, my hair is still so brittle that hair falls out just upon touching it. I do understand that going from black to platinum takes a while and lots of work. But to not check the integrity of the hair throughout processing. It was extremely negligent. They were apologetic and offered a $40 discount and free treatment. But still. The fact that I still paid over $200 for my hair to be fried off. I am disappointed. I might come back once my hair grows back for haircuts because they do amazing work. Again, it is a great salon. But I will need a new salon for color/processing.Services: Hairstyling

Very pleased with my digital perm done by Tammy. I’ve known the hairstylists from Kaminotech for at least 5 years and everyone of them are outstanding. Only the most competent of hairstylists can deliver the standard and quality of haircuts and hair styling in NYC like they do. I wish I can always bring Tammy with me when I travel so that I’d never have a bad hair day!

Owners Tami and Tomo have been cutting my hair for almost 15 years, and I was thrilled when they opened their own salon! Professional, friendly and respectful, the salon has a cozy neighborhood feel, while maintaining top notch service and super clean!. Japanese traditions are an integral part of the service, with every detail carefully thought out.

Love this place! I have been going to jimmy for haircut and highlights - looks great every time! Hairstyle is easy to maintain and I get some many compliments. I also like coming here for Blowouts- it is a steal compare to drybar

I walked in from the street and got the best haircut I’ve had in years. Yuki somehow knew exactly what I wanted and did a great job. He should be up there in the website with the other hair stylists! I plan to go back for my next cut if he’s still there.

Yuki is my favorite! He's quiet and talented and is the first hairstylist I've ever been truly devoted to . They give GREAT scalp massages when they wash your hair. I love this place.
