Akiko is awesome. Been going to her for years. She's amazing at cutting short hair. I like trying different styles and she's great at that. She's a very nice person. Love seeing her dogs each time I visit. Definitely recommend!

Akiko is a great hair designer, attentive and friendly. The salon is spacious and you're the only customer, so the service feels more exclusive. Loved meeting Sully and Lungo, such lovely, well behaving dogs.

The best stylist and colorist in D.C. Akiko is a pro and I don't understand the previous review saying that she's "not professional". Was it the service? You can't beat her skill and knowledge and she's very professional when setting appointments and payment. Was it the interior? If fun, whimsy, and a unique personal style are seen as unprofessional, then you're probably better off going to a big corporate hair place. I'm moving out of the area and planning on keeping my hair appointments with Akiko because she is so great.
