I was excited to try this place, and was using a Groupon for it but was still overcharged and after saying something they reduced the bill by only $5. We were given no greeting So I had to ask for seating after awhile. Besides my daughter and I were there when very few customers were seated and had placed our order. Then came a few more who were (one being a large group) getting served quickly. We waited a long time to be served. Then waited another long wait for our check even after asking. I had also requested some meat pies to go at the beginning only to wait even longer then be told after that they ran out. Being my first experience at an African restaurant, I felt unwelcome. I might try to go back with my Nigerian friend and see how it goes, but not holding my breath.

The food is good but they don’t give you much meat even though they charge extra for some meats they give you no more than 2 pieces. When I got Egusi today there was nearly no stew and a piece of my goat was literally BONE! 🤦🏾♀️. I’ve also had Jollof Rice. They fill up the rice and give you only two pieces of meat. And shrugged when I brought it up then tried to keep my change. I just left as it was taking forever. It was literally like $.59 but my thing is ask me. My husband and I are big on tipping but this time that $.59 was their tip ✌🏾

The fish was moist with a tasty crust and surprisingly fresh. You don't find whole fish very often in area restaurants. My friend had the goat with potatoes/yams and he loved it as well. Service was good. Try the malt drink. And fyi, when they say dishes are spicey, they mean it.
Update: On my second visit, the chicken was a bit dry. The waitress didn't hesitate to immediately replace it with a much juicier piece and she even gave me some beef to try.

Kimi is the kindest woman! I walked in before they opened on accident and she insisted that I stay and she would take my order regardless of it being untimely for them during Morin prep time.I was nervous because I am vegan, wich means I eat no animals as well as nothing derived from animals, and It did not look like I was in luck to be able to order a full meal when I looked at the menu. kimi said I could order some sides, wich is the typical exsperiance for a veGan. She kindly helped me pick items. I told her I love yams,I'd try the rice and beans. few moments later another sweet woman brought out these huge To-go containers and I was puzzled that it was my order. She opened the food to show me, and I couldn't believe how much food I got for my money, such generous portions, and everything smelled incredible. I said that next time I come I will try the plantains as well, and the woman insisted she had some ready and that she would add that to my order for only 2$. So side of rice 2$ side of mashed blackeyed peas 2$ yams 6$ malt beverage 3$.
15$ dollars total, for the most delicious food that has ever touched my pallette!! The food is AMAZING.You can taste that it is made with love and passion!Everyone needs to stop in and try this lovingly made, DELICIOUS, homemade cuisine!STOP IN AND TRY,YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!! Bless you kimi!!
