KRM is a wonderful organization that is a crucial piece to Louisville's international community. They welcome refugees off the plane, help with the transition to Kentucky and provide resources to anyone in need. As they say: Keep Louisville Global!
This is an incredible resource for refugees in Kentucky that does not get nearly the credit and assistance that it deserves! Thank you for all that you do!
This place is horrible!! While I appreciate the services this organization is offering, they need to teach these individuals to respect the community and the area they are receiving services. The refugees do not clean up after themselves, they loiter in the parking lot behind the refugee Center. They are loud and obnoxious, leaving trash everywhere that my mother-in-law has ultimately been forced to pick up herself in order to keep the area looking as clean and tidy as it was prior to this organization renting the building they are in. My mother-in-law has had to have the immigrants vehicles towed from the parking area, directly behind her house and on her property, that is clearly marked and designated for the tenants and herself, inside her home, only... It appears as though the individuals that run the center could care less what their clients are doing outside of the building, because no one, in charge over there is doing anything about the problems or concerns for the things that are going on outside of those walls! What happened to teaching common courtesy, respect and appreciation for your community and neighborhood!
Today, Senator Morgan McGarvey spoke to the press about calling the federal government to accept Afghan refugees. As private U.S. military contractors profited from the war in Afghanistan, U.S. soldiers and Afghan civilians paid the price. There was no legit reason to go into Afghanistan except to collect natural resources which corporations and certain organizations profited lithium, opium, etc. We MUST hold these contractors accountable for wasteful tax payer spending or we will face another Afghanistan moment in Africa. Former Minnesota Governor and former Marine Jesse Ventura is predicting the military-industrial complex will go after Africa.
It’s just a great organization with much organized professionals. Very friendly environment. I still miss those ESL classes and the kind people working there .
