Kernersville Family YMCA

I am super picky about who watches my kids, and where I work out. My kids and I love the staff in the kid care area, and I absolutely love the variety of classes offered. I regularly take Barre, BodyFlow, BodyCombat, and more recently started taking BodyPump. We love the splash park in the summer, and I’m excited for all the renovations happening! It’s my opinion that the facility and staff are a wonderful combo when it comes to what I look for in my gym. I’d recommend this place to anyone with a family for the monthly rate, child care, and variety of classes.

I should've read the other reviews. Filthy and old workout equipment, and got athlete's foot from the lockerroom.

The Kernisville ymca is a great place to go to the gym and practice and you can practice anything from basketball to soccer

The YMCA was a blessing at my son's school for after school but the Summer Camp is not where I feel safe having my child. They are only allowed to go inside out of the rain if it is lightning and 45 kids do not fit under a 10x10 tent. They only go in if the temperature is over 90!!! I pull up in pouring rain to pick him up and I am told he was inside to use the bathroom....NO HE WASN'T he was running through the grassy area with one shoe off to get his lunchbox that was sitting out in the rain!!! He didn't get to eat lunch because the counselors didn't have time to help him open his lunch while he was in a sling for a fractured collar bone from 6 days prior!!! Highly unorganized and not staffed properly to guarantee the safety of my 7 year old!!! You don't always get what you pay for! $130 a week for a member and the lunch that is included is from the Second Harvest Food Bank....at least let parents know ahead of time!!!

don't listen to any of these people this YMCA is amazingly cool it has the best Water Park on the outside, best workout place, a lot of basketball courts, a pool on the inside and out, Water Park is for all ages, has child watch where they can watch your kids why u go and do something u want for all ages up to 12, the staff are nice, you can take swimming lessons, thy have summer camp, after school, and so much more
