Ordered a deep dish and hand tossed to try for first time. The deep dish/pan pizza was good..crust was nice sauce great. Pepperoni has flavor but for how much they charged, I expected more, a lot more. I would have said that was a bucks worth, not three. The hand tossed was terrible crust was so tough and chewy, like a bad piece of well done meat. Delivery finally arrived, barely warm, very disappointed for only 8 blocks down the street. The boxes were soaked in grease, I cant remember the last time I ever saw so much that it went right through to the bottom on to the table. I dont think Ill order again but would recommend one tries the Pan style pizza. Just be wary of price for topping and what you get.
You can never go wrong with Pizza Plus! Their regular pizzas are amazing but I love getting the pan pizzas. Even their other foods hit the spot too. They're usually pretty quick but it also depends on the volume of orders coming through. Great spot in South Philly!
When I walk into a place that doesn’t have prices listed on the menu, I expect high quality food since that is the hallmark of every fine dining establishment. The food here fell short of the mark. I ordered BBQ tofu wings and received huge chunks of unseasoned and unsauced tofu pictured below. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The slice itself was decent and the staff was cool, but I can’t see myself going back.
This place is great. Got the vegan pan pizza with pepperoni. It was a little salty, but delicious. I can't wait to go back and try more! Dietary restrictions: They have a good amount of vegan options.
Different Cheesesteak #913. Guest Eater Kevin Byrne. Pizza Plus South was out of meat so we went Vegan. I met at Separatist Beer Project in East Passyunk. I didn’t tell Kevin the cheesesteak was vegan until after he had taken a few bites. Kevin now has a, I met a man online, I met him for a beer and cheesesteak, he tricked me into putting strange meat into my mouth story!! This could be my favorite Vegan Cheesesteak. It tasted more like thinly sliced Roast Pork. The roll needs help. I think vegan rolls are dry. Toasting and/or garlic bread?? Love Separatist Beer Project, Host to 2021 March Cheesesteak Madness Final Four.
So, this place has some of the best Detroit-style pizza I’ve had in Philly. Highly recommended. And they seem like really nice people running the place. The delivery service through Slice is awful. We’ve had minor delivery issues with them in the past but this last week was absurd. We ordered. Heard nothing for over an hour. Then received two automatic messages 20 min apart that it would be 15 minutes late. Called repeatedly, no answer. Texted the driver, nothing but the automated response. Eventually we got a message that our food had been delivered 20 minutes earlier. Sure enough, there was our food, soggy and gross on our stoop. No one had knocked or rung the bell, and the notification only came 20 minutes after the delivery. They waived the fees and gave us a discount but honestly I never would have paid for the soggy mess that we ended up with.
I expected a little run-of-the-mill philly pizza shop. I was blown away with the flavor of the cheese slices I got. Crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and the cheese had a distinct parmesan flavor. My new favorite pizza place in Philly, and all of PA for that matter. I'd like to go back for their steaks.
The pizza is delicious here however this is the third time I’ve had issues with the ordering and delivery. Tonight, our sides showed up with no pizzas and no helpful response as to how we could get our food. The last time, we received the wrong order and were told there was nothing that could be done about it. My husband and I literally called the person from the receipt and drove to their house to trade our mixed up orders with the people who received our order. I really want to support this local business but over and over we are disappointed with the service. Unfortunately we won’t try to order here again.
I only buy pizza from here and Circles & Squares in Philly. The dough is light but crisp. The sauce has great flavor and isn't sweet. The buffalo chicken pan pizza and sandwich are amazing, the buffalo sauce is spot on for heat and flavor. I also enjoy the onion rings and have more to try including the snack box.
Today is my first orderAll I can say is, pizza is not my style! Chips and onion rings ? burnt
