The Onyx hotel is in a decent location, as it is walking distance to local attractions. Our check in was simple, and the room was ready earlier than expected. There were 4 of us staying in the room, which was extremely tight. The room and beds were small. Even the window was extremely small. Some of the room amenities listed were not in the room as stated. No mini bar. And, we had to request a coffee maker. The room itself was fairly clean. Except for the TV remote, which was filthy. The disinfecting wipe used to clean the remote was black. Parking was by valet only, which was $68. Way overpriced! Definitely did not live up to my expectations of a Hilton property. Will not be staying there again.
Booked this hotel with a price match deal and it was okay. Rooms were small but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a decent size. They have free breakfast but it's all granola bars and pastries, nothing healthy or hot. Not worth paying for if it wasn't free. I don't know why this is considered a 4 star hotel. It's more like a 3 star hotel. There was no restaurant, no hot food, no room service, the "bar" was just used for the self-serve breakfast but no drinks. The 3 star Marriott Courtyard down the street is even much nicer. It was fine since I was able to book it with a price match deal but if I had to pay full price, I would have been very disappointed.
This place was very close to the garden. Like a 4 minute walk. Easy to find parking was easier to access at the garden. But disappointed how sorry our room was. Everything was neat but the walls and mirrors were dusty. The rug needed to be vacuumed bad. The night before we left the shower would not turn off and ran all night. But the staff was very welcoming. Stock on things was very low but staff was really nice.
Stayed one night and very glad it was only one night. Our room was tucked in the corner with view of heating/cooling equipment and the room across the way, very odd design for hotel. While the staff was accommodating the vibe of the place was just strange. Rooms def in need of updates, not what I expect when I stay at a Hilton owned hotel. Location was good, but not great. Won’t be back. And not worth the money/points used to stay.
I meant to write this last year when we stayed here, but I thought I should sit with my thoughts for a while, so I could write a better review. Today I was reminded of how bad it was when telling someone where NOT to stay in Boston. We stayed here while in Boston on a trip for our 20th wedding anniversary. We get to our room, and it smells strange. It's outdated, but that's no big deal. We go out to grab bite to eat and head back in early due to driving all day. Wake up in the morning and get ready. After showering I notice the shower leaks, and the carpet outside the bathroom is very wet, and in the corner of the doorway where the carpet starts there is mold growing. We let the desk know and they offer no apology. Later, when I contact the hotel, they offer me a small amount of points, but not enough to even get a room for a night anywhere. I send pictures of the mold and they still give no apology. For the amount we paid, we should definitely have been moved out of our moldy room to another room. I'm sure there were rooms available as I never saw any other guest the entire time we stayed.
Hotel is in a great location! Just a 3 minute walk to TD Garden and there were lots of good restaurants nearby. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Staff were all friendly and helpful in recommending nearby restaurants. Valet parking worked out great!Rooms: 5/5
This hotel is not at all what it advertises. The rooms were clean, though small. They do NOT contain the amenities listed on the website. For instance - no mini fridge, no coffee maker, no staff at the bar, no "business center" despite still having signs up for it. When we asked about the amenities we were promised and paid for, the clerk at the front desk was unhelpful. Spoke to Hilton customer service on the phone for about 40 minutes; they were kinder and issued a partial refund. Overall, the hotel is a fine place to sleep as long as you aren't expecting too much, but it's certainly not worth the price point.
Incredibly convenient location, just a two minute walk to TD Garden. Unfortunately, the positives stop there. The rooms are small and cramped, which, for our purpose, wasn't a big deal, but it's worth mentioning for anyone looking to spend ample time in the room. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, noisy, and sagging. Our TV wasn't working upon arrival, and we put in a call to the front desk. They sent someone up who couldn't fix it, and said we'd have to wait until the next day for engineering to arrive. We were told we'd get a call before they came. They never called, but did come into the room while we weren't there and apparently fixed the issue. The TV worked for a short time after that, but by Saturday night, had stopped functioning again. The shower had poor pressure, but the real issue was the drainage. The tub began to fill up almost as soon as you turned the water on, leading us to take showers with water up to our ankles. Our room was said to include a coffee-maker, a mini-fridge, an iron with ironing board, and a hair-dryer. It had none of those. Central air was inconsistently noisy, as though it were struggling to run, but it held the temperature adequately enough. Staff was courteous enough when we interacted, but there seemed to be little urgency in addressing concerns, and no accommodations were offered. Overall, a hugely disappointing experience from the Hilton brand. I know this is an off-shoot collection hotel, but it simply isn't up to par.
Amazing experience! Welcoming concierge, clean rooms, a simple quiet hotel. Well decorated space and comfortable beds complete with a pastry breakfast in the morning. Plus a very close walk to everything!Rooms: 5/5
Rooms do have a mini fridge, but no ice bucket or coffee machine. There is a small bar in the hotel, but it's not open or stocked. No free Wi-Fi. Valet parking expensive, but we did it because most lots close weren't 24 hrs. We were staying to see a concert at TD garden. Great location for that! Rooms were very pretty. Beds are comfortable but a little on the hard side compared to my bed. Didn't hear any outside noise. The only view was of the windows in other rooms. Would definitely stay again if we were going back to the garden. Food & drinks: Bar wasn't open. Don't know if there was any food anywhere, but I didn't see any or a room service menu. By the time we checked out breakfast was over.
