The Kitchen is run by The Trustees and their classes are an excellent way to learn a new skill while utilizing local ingredients. Many of which are sourced from the Boston Public Market. The instructors give the back story of the cuisine or ingredient along the way. It's possible for classes to accommodate dietary restrictions but check with the organizer before booking. Classes change with the season and always offer something new. I'd recommend to book your class in advance. If you are a Trustee member you are able to have a discount ranging from 20-40% depending on the event. You are also able to obtain a membership day of and get refunded the discount difference.
I attended the bcbsma cooking class here, it was fun. They tell you cook in groups per table, so it was fun interacting with others.
Love this place. Been to whiskey tastings, a baking class and one of my kids went to a cooking class. All were fun and I keep looking for more to attend. Tip: If you get a Trustees membership, you get discounts to the classes. So, support our local conservation efforts and also learn more about food and drink! Super double triple tip: Take a date there. You'll win points for originality. Plus, you'll get something tasty to eat and every class I've taken has wine pairings included Except, of course, the kids classes. Drinking alcohol is no good for the children peoples.
A very good place to volunteer at and to also get great kitchen experience.
The Classes are varied and the Chefs amazingly talented
