My grandmother is a patient being seen by wound care team at Kindred Heights. Her wound care nurse Julie Carillo is excellent!!! She has been providing excellent wound care for my grandmother since she admitted to the facility. Julie takes time to educate the family on best wound care practices. She is compassionate and uses great technique when doing wound care. I have shared my reviews with administration at Kindred Heights so that Julie is recognized for the great job she does. Keep up the excellent work Julie!
Kindred provided great care for my mother and took the time to answer any questions we had. Amanda gave us updates on my mother often and explained to us about any issues. Julie Carillo is one of a kind with an enthusiastic attitude who helped with the wound care. She was very knowledgeable, helpful, compassionate, and made sure everything was done correctly. She stood out the most out of all the staff. There were great staff like Amanda, Erika, Tawnya, and others that worked diligently and formed an friendship with my mother. She made great progress there and i do recommend this place. The staff is good but there is room for improvement when getting help from the case worker Tara, seems like she only did the bare minimum to complete her job.
I have been at kindred hospital for almost a month now and I cannot express how grateful I am to the nursing staff and nurses assistance and the awesome doctors. Overall my experience at Kendra has been great although there are some areas where it should improve. I do want to mention one of the staff members that really stands out to me is Ms. Arlene, she is the only person that made me feel special when I stepped into my room after my HBO therapy. She would always do my bed and make sure that my room was very inviting she would always do my bed and make sure that my room was very inviting when I returned , her sweetness is like a breath of fresh air I am really thankful for her. Another person that I want to thank is Julie from wound care, this woman to me is my little angel. Her warmth and her care and her compassion means the world to me. She is a professional, perfectionist and really cares what the person is going through and for that I am so grateful . I would also like to recognize my nurses who took care of me during my stay Julian, Emmie, Beth, Elizabeth and Tamika. I want to also thank Dr. Garcia for his outstanding knowledge and a great doctor he is. But of course there's always room for improvement, housekeeping needs to do a little bit better job and also some of the tecs that come around taking your blood pressure and temperature they need to be a little bit nicer and more sensitive.
I normally do not write reviews but I will in this case. I stayed in this hospital for over 5 weeks. All of the Dr.s and nurses were very accommodating. They attended to all of my needs in a timely manner and with professionalism. I would specialty like to thank Julie my wound care nurse for her outstanding care and genuine concern for my health. I highly recommend this facility should you need critical care medical services.
This place took excellent care of my dad. He was seen by the wound care team at Kindred Heights. All the staff on the 4th floor were kind and friendly. His wound care nurse Julie Carillo was absolutely the best!!!! She really cares about her patients and it shows in her work. The HBO team was also amazing. Thank you Lori for taking great care of my dad too. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Definitely a great staff and doctors; providing the best of service to me for my loved ones. Would like to thank Ms. Julie in Wound Care for bringing a smile to my face every visit. The HBO staff members were so patient and attentive to my needs during the whole process. My experience at Kindred Hospital Heights helped me to a speedy recovery!
My mother was recently at Kindred Hospital and these are her thoughts: "I would like to thank the staff at Kindred Hospital with the exception of two or three nurses. Elezabeth of Indian descent was very rude and abrupt. I feel as though she needs to be more compassionate and caring towards her patients. Everyone else showed compassion and promptness. The nurses were always there to give me my medicine within a short amount of time. They always made me feel like family. Greeting me with a smile, asking me how I am doing, and how can they assist me. There were many nurses who did an amazing job. To name a few, there was Barford 4th floor, Elizabeth with glasses, 4th floor, Sylvester 4th floor, Hawa 4th floor, Jackie and April 4th floor, PCAs, and Bertrina 3rd floor. There were many more but I just cannot name them all. But thanks to everyone that played a part in my healing process. To my wound care nurse Julie, I would like to thank you personally for the exceptional job you did. You always made me feel like a part of your family. Also, thank you for teaching my daughter and I how to care for my wound. Your kindness, compassion, and sense of humor made me sometimes forget about being in a hospital. To the ladies in HBO, thank you for your care during my healing process. You too played a big part in making me feel comfortable and at ease. I could always count on you making me laugh each day that I was there. Once again, I would like to thank everyone that cared for me during my stay." When my mother was admitted to Kindred, I stayed with her each week. I can attest to her review but I would like to add some comments as well. I feel her therapy sessions could have been better. When she left for therapy, she would always return to her room within ten minutes. Im not sure what ten minutes of therapy could do for patient who was there for that reason. Also, the housekeeping staff only cleaned the floors in both of my mother's rooms. They sprayed a chemical on the floors that was very strong and caused my mother and I to have headaches. Because of the smell, we had to leave the room. When my mother was having severe pain, some nurses took their time in getting her medicine after already being to the room to ask her what she needed. It made me feel like she was not a priority to them. I understand that nurses have many patients but requesting medicine through the call light, waiting at least fifteen minutes for the nurse to get there, and the nurse not having the medicine was a little ridiculous. But again that was only one or two nurses. As my mother stated earlier, the stay at Kindred was a good one. Again, thank you to Julie Wound Care for making my mother always feel comfortable and like a part of your family. We always looked forward to seeing you!
This was my mother's second time at Kindred Hospital heights. Both times the doctor's, nurses, cna's , caseworker, and administration treated both me and my mother with dignity and respect. Various staffmembers from administration visited weekly, asking if I had any concerns. When there was a concern, it was immediately addressed and resolved. During my mother's second stay she received two different types of woundcare treatments. Ms. Julia , the wound care nurse was always professional as well as showing compassion while caring for my mother's wounds. She also showed me how to care for my mother's wounds. Lastly, I would recommend this facility , keep up the good work. Also, stay compassionate.
5 Stars- The wound care specialist JULIA is wonderful! and is knowledgeable. She takes her time and teaches you about what she is doing. CNA's Jackie and Melissa were awesome and so caring with my mom and family. These ladies were the few that made the difference for my mom's visit at Kindred. Zero Stars Sadly-- Disappointed with the nurse Supervisors and Administrators/administration staff.
Woundcare here is one of my favorites, i have been getting woundcare for years and i know good service from bad service and julie saved my life. You guys dont know what s jewel you have in her. The case manager Jennifer really did help me as well. Some of the nurses here are really good but others need to slow down and pay more attention to the patients. The kitchen could do better as well with customer service. The patient advocate here is the bomb ,she does what she say shes going to do. Dr Garcia is my champion he really shows he cares for his patients. I needed a mri and he understood and made sure it got done. I seen so many people here that i know and have taken care of me before and im happy to be here again.
