Food: 3/5 Ambience:4/5 Service: 3.5 /5 The patio of this place on the wharf is pretty cool. We went there just because of that. The food was very mediocre for the prices they charge. We went around 9:15am, we had to ask for the menu twice, ask the waiter to bring cutlet after food was served. We were give only one menu card for a table of three. I guess the waiter was tired for the day but nevertheless expected better than that.
Cool place at the Wharf. Nice atmosphere, however the food was just okay. I’ve had better fish and chips before the breading fell off the fish and didn’t seem to be seasoned as well as it could. The crab cake appetizer was very good, however.
Service was good and location wasn't bad at all with seating outside, indoors on two floors. Lighting on the inside was a little dark for my taste after the sun went down. The food was great. The Flat Bread Pizza, and Fish and Chips seemed to be what everyone was getting besides all the drinks. Overall I enjoyed it and would go back again for the food and staff.
Service was good. Cocktails were tasty. Food was ok. The Mushroom Soup was really good. But the Caesar Salad lacked dressing and some of the lettuce was brown and old. The gnocchi and squash dish was ok as well. The Pot Pie tasted like it needed something. was a bit bland. Overall it will do if you are hungry and want a drink before our concert. Next time we will try somewhere else.
Came here around 5pm on a Friday and there was limited seating outside, but plenty inside. My burger $19 was cooked to perfection and flavorful. The fries were a bit soggy though. My buddy was really disappointed with the portion size for the shepherds pie $26. With it being a pub, was definitely expecting more. Service was okay.
Really nice Irish pub located directly on the wharf. It has covered outdoor seating that it is beautiful. The food is classic English pub food. For example Shepherd's pie, bangers and mash, fish and chips, the menu is quite large if English pub food is not what you're looking for. There's a lot of alternatives. It's a really great place right on the wharf.
We had a great time. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly. The meals were delicious. Right on the DC Wharf. Good selection of food items. Full-service bar. Great views. Kid-friendly. Definitely a place to eat if in the area. I'd go back. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available.
Kirwans on the wharf is located right at the waterfront and is a good place to go if you have a hankering for Irish pub food. The location is excellent, and the interior is decorated very nicely, but the back room Bar area was exceedingly warm. That would be ok on a cool evening, however it was 90+ degrees when we went in and they’re looking to get relief from the heat. The bartender/waitress who served us was very nice and did a great job of making us feel comfortable. The food was superb as well. I had the bacon and cabbage meal which consisted of pork loin, bacon, cabbage and I opted for the sweet potato fries. It was one of the best pub meals I’ve had. My wife had the lamb burger with colcannon mash. She said it was the best burger and mashed potato dish she’s ever had.
Believe it or not, this Irish pub makes great crab meat risotto!! Shepard's pie was outstanding too. And it was the only place where we could find a table on Saturday night at the Wharf, even though they were pretty packed themselves. This restaurant stands out because it's unpretentious, fun, with great service and reasonable prices.
Great for beers and a quick bite. Waiters seem all very good trained and attentive. Food was spiced dezent and authentically, even though the tuna poke wich btw is not what you are serving was way too much sesame. Local craft beers on tap, try the sour.
