Kobe Japanese Steakhouse

Chef was good and service was fast and friendly. I'm still giving 5 stars because it was good albeit unexpected. Fried rice was cooked with a hot mustard sauce on it. I don't care for that flavor but it may just be regular for this chain. The ginger sauce was very different than what I'm used to. It tasted like mostly onion and sugar. It had very little ginger flavor and no ginger bite. It was very light colored when I am used to a darker sauce. All in all good dinner, just not what was expected.

Never had a bad experience at Kobe, food is always delicious and prepared the way I order it! I usually order to go and when they give me a time it will be ready, it's ready! Staff is always on point getting me in and out as quickly as possible. A little more expensive than some of it's competitors but I keep going back so if that doesn't say it all, I'm not sure what will! Vegetarian options: You order just vegetables or soup! Kid-friendliness: They love kids and have a kids menu! Parking: It's located in a complex with other businesses so during lunch it's sometimes hard to find a spot but that's usually a sign of good food! They do need more parking but there aren't any available real estate near enough for them to do so!

Went as a double date with some friends. Looked to be the best rated Japanese steakhouse nearest to where we were. Service was great, but the menu was lack luster, and the food was under whelming. $20 plate for a steak and rice that looked proportionate to a kids meal. Service was the only outstanding part of our experience

We had an amazing meal at Kobe’s. It has been our favorite hibachi place for 10 years. Great service, quality and speediness. Lingling was our server at lunch today and our order was perfect and delicious. She was a super sweet server!

With struggles at local hibachi, we decided to spread out a bit. Best choice. We had to adjust our flavors a bit as it was sharply different than our local choices. After a few bites it was mostly magically gone. Great performance. Attentive yet not intrusive wait staff.

Ling2 server and Wonsub sushi chef were awesome!! They even let my daughter make her own sushi roll! What an awesome time! Definitely recommend them. Super friendly too! Kid-friendliness: My daughter made her own sushi roll!

Very disappointing to say the least. We had to wait an hour to be served and the soft drinks we got were flat and not carbonated. Someone at our table ordered a drink from the bar and it showed up with a FLY in it. When our chef finally showed up, he cooked and served everyone at the table RAW chicken. The chicken was so undercooked that it was still slimy when bitten. I let our server know of the undercooked chicken & she said she would inform the manager, but no manager showed up to address the undercooked food or the fly in the drink & we were charged full price. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I was planning on rating Kobe 3 stars, but after reading my own review, I think 2 stars is more fitting. I was a huge fan of Kobe in Tuscaloosa, AL so was super excited to give this one a try. Service was great! Our chef was even greater personality wise. I was disappointed that this location did not include the appetizer shrimp or the noodles…huge bummer! Our chef put on the best show…food not so much. The fried rice was crispy in areas good flavor though. The vegetables were overcooked in areas. We requested our steak medium, but it was past well done once it hit our plate. It took too much effort to chew it. The shrimp lacked flavor and was a bit small in my opinion. I was super hungry on arrival, so ordered a sushi roll to ease the hunger. It was okay but I wouldn’t order it again. I should have followed my first mind and given Benihana a try.
