Always a wonderful visit. Have never had a negative experience. The filets are an unbelievably good cut of meat. You can't find them that good in many places anywhere in the states. The wait staff is highly professional and attentive. In this visit we also tried the mashed potatoes, two different dessert options. If you haven't been - GO!
Ate the bread pudding. Not used to a waiter putting my napkin in my lap. Full proper polite helpful professional waiters. Elegant during Christmas. Definitely a vibe environment for married couples.
Was kind of afraid to order the wagyu as this was my first time going to Arthur's and wasn't sure if they would cook it right or not. Got a NY Strip insteadmedium rare, only way it should be cooked lol and it was fantastic. Also got Three Cheese Au Gratin, Creamed Corn, and Garlic Mashed Potatoes and they were all pretty damn good. Caesar salad was a little different but not but a bad way really. Don't want to do anything illegal here, but I would stab somebody in front of their own momma for the cheesecake I got from here. Overall 8/10, def will go again.
We came here for my friend’s birthday and all 5 of us had a bad experience. We had reservations and when one my friend got there first, she said the owner totally ignored her. He did not acknowledge her but assisted the people behind her that came after her. Our server was nice but he was very slow, we sat by the bar and I ordered a margarita, I saw that my margarita was done and it sat at the bar for 10-15 minutes, one of us had to finally remind the server to bring it to us. The Filet and the Wayu Beef were over Charred…the over burnt outer layer caused a bitter taste which was not pleasant. Half way through dinner, one of the staff decided to open the side door by the bar and near our table…which was very inconsiderate because it was 30 degrees outside at the time. We got so cold my husband decided to go close the door himself, and when he did the people working at the bar gave him a dirty look and started to whisper something about it. Our overall experience was very bad considering our table spent over $700 and we even tipped $100 just to be nice…however we will not be coming back.
The food and the place was simply FANTASTIC! I loved how the meat tasted and how it was presented. It is a very nice place to have dinners for any occasions! I went there with my significant other and his friends for his birthday and I loved it! The prices are also very adorable!
So I went to eat here for the first time on my birthday as a special birthday treat. Everything was fabulous, is a bit more relaxed in pace which was nice. The icing on the cake was the dessert for my birthday, complete with candle, I felt so special. Will definitely be going back, this place is great for special celebrations.
I’m rating a 3 star only because my Waygu wasn’t close to what I was expecting. So this was our first time to Arthur’s and a first for Waygu. I ordered the $195 #9 ribeye, my friend order the #7, and my wife done the filet sampler. The flavor of my steak was great but when everyone shared a bite of theirs mine was by far the toughest and honestly no more tender than a ribeye from any other steakhouse, it even had gristle that I couldn’t chew. My friends #7 was 3 times more tender than my #9 and both of the filet’s were amazingly tender. Maybe the chef or the butcher got mine labeled wrong but for $200 I don’t plan to be trying it again. Service was top notch and the restaurant was very nice.
A little disappointed in the food. The scallops were over seasoned for my taste. The broccoli casserole was just broccoli with melted cheese on top. The main dining room is beautiful and the atmosphere is elegant and upscale. The side dining rooms are not so much. The staff was friendly and attentive. For the money, I’d choose a different restaurant if really good food is what you are looking for.
It pains me to write this review after having established Arthurs in my mind as the go to steakhouse in Central Arkansas, but in fairness to other diners, the story must be told. Having made three visits within four months, we are 1/3 with what I consider a premium experience at what should be a premium destination given the prices, location, and furnishings. After we sat, it took a few minutes before we were greeted by the server who took our drink orders, then an even longer excessive period of time before we received our cocktails and wine. The bar wasn’t busy, so it wasn’t a problem there. Slow and inattentive service would be the calling card of the evening. The timing between courses wasn’t even a consideration. We received out appetizer which was a crabcake, that may have been the highlight of the evening…thirty seconds AFTER our salads arrived. More drinks ordered…more waiting, and waiting. When the entrées arrived, I enthusiastically took a pic, oriented the plate so that I would be cutting across the grain, capturing a small portion of the fat with the first bite. Much to my surprise and chagrin, what I got was a portion of a perfectly cooked NY strip with a gummy, tasteless piece of fat that should’ve been trimmed down to about an eighth to quarter of an inch…and it was barely above room temperature. I did order the steak rare however, but the exterior should have been hot or very warm and it was neither and it was sitting on a cold plate. The meat was seasoned properly and cooked perfectly but it must have been plated well before it was served. My dining partner had the halibut which was good, but I thought from the sample that she provided me, lacked enough seasoning. I would’ve been much happier with the halibut, but that’s not why I go to a steakhouse. During the service my dining partner asked me if I noticed one characteristic about the staff that evening and I made the comment to the point that they seemed to relatively young and possibly inexperienced. We didn’t order dessert, but instead shared our disappointment at the experience, but still expressed the sentiment of being thankful for the opportunity to get out together. Readers of reviews often ask “did you say anything to management?” No, what were they going to do? Recook the steak? Seat us with a different server? Start over? The owner was present, but unlike some of our past experiences, did not stop by the table. I understand that isn’t always possible, nor expected, and perhaps they were understaffed. I try to be sympathetic especially with the labor crunch that most businesses are experiencing these days, but with a mid $300 tab two diners, I am less forgiving. I think that Arthurs is missing the attention to detail that is quintessential to a “fine dining” experience even for Little Rock, which is a relatively small market, but one that could easily support the ideal of what Arthurs should and could be. I will give them another chance, but it’s going to be a while. They will either get better or worse, and time, which I am willing to give them, will tell.
Good wine selection, delicious food and the service was amazing, the piano music was so delightful and allowed you to still enjoy a conversation. The woodwork and chandelier la were also beautiful! Definitely coming back!
