The barista here did a great job and was very welcoming. The black coffee I had was tasty, and decently priced. Aside from that this place is full of quirkiness and gesturing. There’s a 30 minute limit on how long people can be inside the restaurant, even when you’re the only person there. There are still masks required, and the public is not allowed to use the restroom. These are all very interesting policies that detract from the user experience and are very interesting considering the creativity in other parts of the business.
Mediocre/bad coffee. Weird vibe. Aggressive barista upon walking in. Place was empty though which was good. I was worried about the 30 minute time limit which they did not enforce. Also, they post a ton of rules all over the coffee shop including mandatory tipping. I always tip, but it was just weird to be prompted like that. Bathroom felt industrial, like a back closet where they keep cleaning supplies. Toilet didn't really flush. Regarding parking, i'm not sure why there's a cafe in this location if it's even slightly difficult to park. Some honest advice to the owner: move locations and start fresh. Too many negative comments on here from Covid that it's going to be hard for this place to succeed. They have potential and nice art for sale in the window. It's quirky. But, I wouldn't come back.
Owner has lot patrolled by predatory tow company. Car was in the lot for 2 hours and now I owe $380 for parking after the business hours, no warning nothing. **Response to owner: if you truly wanted cars to not park there then make the signs clearly visible, otherwise you're not solving the issue only allowing people to suffer the consequences. Do you think I willingly parked in that spot with the understanding that I would get towed?? Solve the problem by posting better signage. Feel free to pay my $300 impound fee, you jack a**.
The barista was super friendly and made some good recommendations. It was a cute coffee shop. The coffee was good, and so was the bagel bacon breakfast sandwich.Food: 5/5
This was our first visit to Kokopelli's - and it didn't disappoint! It's the cutest little coffee shop, and it wasn't super busy when we stopped by around noon on a Sunday. We ordered 2 iced Cabrini's, and they were DELICIOUS! We'll definitely be back again soon!
To me getting a Coffee is an experience. You sit with friends drink coffee laugh and enjoy. A coffee shop is supposed to be inviting, but when I showed up the Barista was extremely short and agitated by my questions. So I just picked something random so I wouldn’t bother her anymore. I needed to use the bathroom and found out they have no public RESTROOM, which is super weird for a Coffee Shop. I’m assuming they do that so people just order and leave no reason to waste resources once you sold your product… So not an inviting experience. It’s a great place if you just want a coffee to go. They have great craft coffee and tea drinks. I would recommend the Morning Mint it’s excellent. I know it’s odd to give a business 3 stars and then say how great their drinks are but they are GREAT. Just the experience isn’t.
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO. Terrible customer service - they abuse their parking lot as a money grab for towing. Their food and coffee is below par and their shop needs a visit from the health department. They use their lot as a cash grab. If you read the reviews, you’ll see others with the same experience. $450 for a burnt coffee, Tow, and an Uber. Can you see the no towing sign?? - They need to do something about the towing signs. If you see other reviews, the owners are argumentative and gaslight their own customers instead of taking action. Kokopelli’s Coffee - come for a burnt coffee and a tow.
Quite bad experience. Aparently there is a 30min time limit for dine-in but the barista did not inform me until after paying. He did say it was written at the door. It was! After my surprise written in small letters among 20 other things -- impossible to see. Also barista mentioned that they are not comfortable with customers being unwatched, so the barista "can't" really work while there is a customer. Just gonna say. If you don't want customers, make your shop a drive-through. This is ridiculous.
They got my car towed after parking there for a very short time. Also the customer service is not great. I don’t really believe you to be honest. Seems like a way to swindle people out of there money. $355 is an absurd amount to pay. And don’t tell me they wait as a courtesy when there is one sign on you’re building and two signs wayyyy in the back that seem like a different parking area. There is not a single sign posted where everyone has been parking. Across from your building. If you don’t want any more 1 star reviews talk to the “owner” and put some signs on poles across from your building.
I went to the place across the way to have dinner, did several laps around the lot and couldn't snag a spot. parked at this coffee shop for less than two hours. the tow sign had unclear rules regarding when you are allowed to be parked there. the owner of the shop called the tow company and my car was gone before we came back out. he stood in the window watching us. I tried calling the coffee shop to ask genuine questions, and called with a kind voice. the boy who answered was very rude and exaggerated about how many signs there are in the parking lot. Hé said the owner is rarely around. makes me wonder if he was just there at 10 pm to tow cars, especially after reading several yelp reviews with similar stories. i understand the importance of keeping the lot clear for customers, but it was 10 pm and this lot is most often empty or has a couple cars in it throughout the day time. i see the owner is responding to reviews and since he's not working at the shop, here are my friendly suggestions: Be a little more considerate by giving more time, and take into consideration that getting your car back costs A LOT OF MONEY. not everyone has the money to pay this fee. 2. train your employees better by encouraging kind communication and just a little more decency. 3. post clearer times, not a sign that says no parking after hours hours AND no parking 12am -6am.
