they have fresh meats cut daily. its packaged and set out in the cooler but you can ask the meat room for just about anything you want and they will get it to you right away! the deli has been totally revamped now with loads of yummy fresh items and I see they have started to sell fresh baked pastry made on site! every visit is a joy!
I find the people very nice and they try to work with you. yes it is the only kosher food store in Milwaukee. the Rabbi that owns the place is Awesome too! you might get a big hug from him if you shop there enough.
This is the only kosher supermarket in town...I wouldn't call it a butcher shop as all the meats and poultry are prepacked. Although the store has improved in the past few years, the meats are often not fresh and I have purchased rancid meat. They are not very happy about taking back an item purchased and can be downright nasty about it. On the positive side, the staff is friendly, although not very knowledgeable about their products. Fresh bakery items are brought in from Chicago, but don't expect them to be fresh! It's the only game in town, other than a couple of supermarkets that carry a few items just north of Milwaukee. Worth checking out, but buyer beware.
This company put in an offer on my home- a cash offer. They then 3 days before closing asked for an extension. I extended the contract only to find out that they did not have the cash to purchase my home. They promised that if the transaction was cancelled that they would sign the earnest money over to my husband and I, they won't sign the paperwork. Clearly they don't do ethical business and don't care about people in the community. its really sad, we lost out on 2 months of trying to sell our house because of them- worse yet we already had moved out stuff out of our house and were stuck with nothing but a mattress on the floor and paper plates until we sold it! Thanks for your dishonesty.
Great place for my kosher needs but.. Sadly they are closing their doors after 40+ years.
Selection wasn't as good as I had hoped, but maybe I went too close to Pesach. Only time I've been there so maybe it wasn't representative. I don't eat meat so I am not commenting on their meat offerings.
Best selection of kosher foods in the state, great community meeting place, lots of warmth, very caring.
Great people...friendly service...nice variety of kosher foods, candies, and wines
Good basic kosher market. No frills, but everything you need and nice people who own it.
Fresh, frozen, canned and package supplies for kosher living. Pleasant staff too.
