TERRIBLE first, second and third impression. First, I called a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving, at which time Kristi answered the phone and said she would call me back in 20 minutes because classes were just starting. She did not call me back but I gave her the benefit of the doubt because I understand people get busy and forget. I called her 3 hours later and she admitted she forgot...no problem. I asked about tumbling classes for my 6 year old and explained the skills I wanted her to develop. She said classes were full but to call after Thanksgiving when the new schedules will be available. I called today (11/28) and again spoke to Kristi who took my name & number and said "let me call you right back." After not receiving a call yet again, I decided to go by the studio after work, again giving her the benefit of the doubt. I arrive at the gym and explained what I was interested in to the woman responsible for enrolling. I explained what skills my daughter has, what she's working on and what i want her to progress to. She said she couldn't really assist but would take my name & number to have Kristi call me back. I asked if she was available because I haven't been able to get her to return my call. She left to speak with her and moments later a woman came over and said "what's up" with a what do you want because I'm busy tone. I explained I was interested in tumbling classes for my daughter...she can do abc and is currently learning xyz. They asked where my daughter currently went, why she doesn't do tumbling there...all questions that were none of their business and carried no weight on their ability to assist me with the reason I was in their studio. She looked at me as if I were an unfit parent when I said I didn't know which level my daughter was. You would have thought I said I didn't know how old she was or something. I told her what skills she has and what she was working on - don't the instructors evaluate the athletes to appropriately place them anyway?!?! She said she may have a Thursday but was not sure. I explained we were unavailable on Tuesdays and Thursdays and she immediately said "well that's our schedule." Had she called me back either time or bothered to not be so uninterested and dismissive, she would have remembered that I was looking to start class in January, as I explained the 1st and 2nd time I called. I specifically said I was told to call after Thanksgiving for the NEW schedules. She was rude, unprofessional, unorganized and dismissive. She was completely uninterested in my daughter being apart of her gym and therefore so was I. I went where I planned to go in the beginning, Byrd's Gym on Leavenworth Rd. I decided to look into Kristi's simply because they were in close proximity. I'll drive the extra 5 minutes if it means a professional attentive staff who has an interest in the development of my daughter's skills and abilities as an athlete.
