Kyung's Bakery

We only have ordered cakes and pastries from this bakery three times and so far, everything we have tried are sooo good. It looks appetizing, clean presentation and most of all, very yummy delicious. They have sufficient varities too to choose from, shelves are not full of display though which means, cakes and pastries are fresh daily. The staff is super nice and willing to show you her baked products for the day, explaining what it's made of and its ingredients. They also accept custom orders for any occasions. The place is not super big but I guess just perfect size, very clean and well organized. They have ample parking too so it's quite convenient for customers. I can say that this is a hidden gem and it's worth checking. Taste and presentation wise, their baked goods are comparable to other good French bakeries we have tried around town. It's a bit hidden from the main road, along with other small and local businesses but easily accessible from State Street. We will definitely be back to try all other baked goods.

I ordered a passion fruit mousse cake, it was so delicious!! The sweetness is perfect, not overwhelming and just about right to balance the sourness from the fresh fruit. Definitely the best cake I have ever eaten in SLC!

Ordered the sweet potato cake a day before my birthday and there was no problem! Went to pick it up the day after and it was ready. The lady who works there is so nice! I was very tempted to get some other cakes/breads but I thought it would be best to get other stuff next time. The cake itself is so delicious! I grew up eating sweet potato cake and it was just as delicious, maybe even better, than what I remember. Fresh fruit and cream, and tasty sweet potato purée in between layers of cake! Will visit again.

This bakery is so good. We love the Melon Buns. We stopped by to get some melon buns and other goodies today, but it said they were closed because Mrs Kyung was injured in a hit and run accident. Get well soon Mrs Kyung.

You MUST, MUST try this place! The bread, the pastries, the pies, everything is absolutely DELICIOUS!!! The owner is super nice. Everything is so fresh. I just love, love, love the things that she bakes. I am so happy that we have such a great bakery in the area!

We ordered a cake for a bday party. Cake was amazing and the service was fantastic. Everything was ready on time and as promised. Can’t wait for the next occasion to visit this bakery!

A family owned bakery specializing in cakes, pastries, and other baked goods! Lots of options available, can be hard to decide. There are common cakes like cheesecakes, chocolate, strawberry and cream, passion fruit, mango, Tiramisu, and fruit tarts. The unique stuff is Korean like sweet potato cake, yogurt cheesecake, mochi cake, and filled buns. The cakes are not too sweet. They are big slices, definitely shareable. The owner makes everything herself. The hours are limited because it’s literally a one-woman shop with occasional help from her son. Definitely worth the price because it’s a small biz, not like mass produced cakes from the grocery store!

Love this place. A variety of baked goods thats always delicous. Its really nice that they have lower sugar options. Owner is friendly and helpful.

I work just in the barber shop close to and I always love the stuff I’ve picked up from here! I always look forward to Friday or Thursday to get my sweet tooth taken care of! Definitely recommend this place for your sweet tooth!
