Small casual restaurant with fresh local seafood. Not too busy, and everyone there seemed to be a local. Get something to do with crab! It's definitely a hidden gem. Reservations are available upstairs. You can get whole crabs to crack! The waitstaff were very friendly and patient with our dietary restrictions allergies and T1D and recommended the best dishes. Our waitress even showed us how to properly crack a crab! We're newbies. The scallops were delicious and the wings as well. Highlights were definitely the creamy crab soup, crab dip and pretzel bread, and crab cakes. The crab cakes had so much crab and so little filler, very high quality, and taste. They also have dessert from a local bakery! Tip: Ask for gloves and bibs if getting whole crabs; they're covered in seasoning, and cracking them makes a mess. Vegetarian options: Salads and appetizers, not too exciting but doable Kid-friendliness: Kids menu and most adult items are very flexible size-wise. Dietary restrictions: The chef is gluten-free, so she knows which items are 100% uncontaminated by gluten. They are also very knowledgeable about Type 1 Diabetes restrictions and suggested several different options on the menu all steamed options, wings, salads, soups, and the crab dip can come with celery as well as breadsticks for the lower-carb crowd. My mom has a shellfish allergy and thus was unable to get any shelfish or fried food all food fried in the same oil, but she got scallops and wings, both of which were very good.
This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. If you have a chance to sit in Crystal’s section she makes the experience 10x’s better. She is so knowledgeable and will always make great recommendations for our family when it is their first time visiting. She knows what she is doing and what she is talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is her main priority. We always go to LP Steamer's when we have family in town. Everyone truly has the best time and always raves about the food. We are so fortunate to have this place just a block away from our home. Food is always on point, both the Maryland blue crabs and snow crabs are amazing. Wine selection is great and awesome selection of beers. Love this place and will continue to visit.
Ordered and finished 4 Large Crab orders with family. I love how they cooked it with Old Bay Seasoning. When they say it's large, it is really what it is. Definitely going back. Served with wooden mallet and knife. And they let us eat it with our owned cooked rice from home and homemade Filipino Sauces.
4 Jumbo crabs + old bay fries + half dozen local oysters Everything is perfect!!! The crabs are fresh and the meat is amazing. The local oysters are large and a bit sweet, definitely worth the price. I prefer normal fries over old bay fries so I’m definitely gonna choose normal fries next time.
One of our favorite places to eat in Baltimore. Blue claws are good. Crab dip the pretzel sticks are excellent. We tried the oysters for the 1st and now we're a fan of them. Service always been good also. We live in Jersey and drive 2 hours just to eat here
We got a picnic table on the rooftop right at sunset. Wow, what a fun way to eat steamed seafood. The staff were smiling and helpful and the many choices menu has relatively low prices for the amount and quality of what they deliver. We tried the appetizer fries and they were worth it. The combo steamed lobster and shrimp were a deal and portions were big. People were banging away cracking craps nearby and digging in. Don't dress up as this can be a use both hands meal. Not a "which fork do I use?" meal. It was a great meal at an unassuming place.
Food was very tasty. Served very quickly. Highly recommend to anyone in the Baltimore area. The crab cake is delicious. Only complain is that our steamed sampler only had one single oyster.
This place is fairly small. Only about 7 tables on the inside. This is definitely a happening place so be prepared for a small wait. Street parking is available. The food is great here. The service is good. We really enjoyed the stuffed soft shell! Highly recommend it. The steamed crabs were meaty and delicious. If you're in the mood for steamed or raw seafood, this is the place.
This was my 1st time here. I'm from Maryland, I love shellfish and all types of seafood. In my opinion, they have mediocre service and tight seating but it's not the worst place to get really good seafood. Our crabs came out hot, juicy and fresh. The crab soup was flavorful although it could have used more crab. Delish though I do wish their was a way to cut down on the flys.
What an amazing place. The food was fresh, the service was very quick and attentive. We had the hush puppies, crab soup, crab dip with the pretzels and of course !!! It was worth my 4hour drive from NY to have dinner. I will definitely be back. They earned all of their
