A great little place. Very good food. Good size plate for the money. Big tamales lots of stuffing. Enchilada plate is delicious an very generous. Parking in the neighborhood is no problem great menu beer, drinks. Nice collection of sauces to. Well I'm going back... Kid-friendliness: Very comfortable seating inside an out very nice neighborhood .
They forgot my horchata so with delivery and everything I basically paid $25 for nachos. Not super happy about it but had to give 4 stars because the nachos were quite good and the delivery person from the restaurant was very friendly. Massive portions!Dine in: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes
This place was a surprise. From this Mexican to your Mexican heart, food was spot on. Their pickled jalapeños and carrots are homemade deliciousness. Nachos stacked high with best toppings. Meats are all cooked to order. Not many REAL Mexican joints in Portland, this one is one of them. Tell them Ricardo sent you.
I was a fan of Azteca, but their quality has gone down and prices have gone up. I have been wanting to try LA Bonita for awhile now. Money is tight so I splurged last week. I was the only customer that was a sign to go elsewhere I ordered the Fajita enchalada plate to eat at home. There was no meat! I took each enchilada apart and each had tons of green peppers but no meat. I also asked and paid for extra rice, which I did not get. I will not be going back and will not recommend. That was just money down the drain.
We love La Bonita’s burritos! The chicken burrito is exceptional and the garden veggie burrito is great, too.
We always love La Bonita! We eat here at least every month. Food is always good and fresh tasting.
The problem with most Mexicans food restaurants is that they try to aim for semi authentic Mexican plates but often fall short due to the bar being set so low to begin with. This place is not like those places and rather than aiming high and falling short they strike the perfect balance between authentic Mexican plates/recipes and the reality of catering to a mostly anglo clientele. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a mild experience in the Mexican cuisine. If you're looking for the bold flavors of mexican recipes and authenticity in each plate, this place might not be for you. With that said the place was clean and the service friendly. Prices are reasonable and atmosphere is pleasant.
This is a dynamite place to eat. The quality and Preparation of their food is top notch. I wish they would open one in my area.Recommended dishesBreakfast Burrito, Enchilada Plate, Chilaquiles, Taco
We wound up at La Bonita after a horrible experience at another restaurant. Happy we ended up here. Good food!!!! The Chile Relleno burrito is delicious!!! Margaritas are large and delicious. Friendly staff. Clean. Easy parking. I will be back!!
Good tasting and fresh ingredients. Very reasonable prices for food and drinks. Many vegan options. Friendly service. Easy to find location. I'm looking forward to when I return to this neighborhood and try something else from their menu.
