La Tita Gorda Taqueria

Small starting up bar with delicious food. Very friendly and engaging staff. Currently under renovation and great potential to be anyones go to spot. Quality feels home made, a lot of flavor and happy hour whenever there’s home games. Please give it a shot and don’t look past this awesome restaurant/bar!

Edit: Apparently, the place is under new ownership and the menu and quality of the food have totally changed ....for the worse. It's horrible. We had an amazing breakfast.

Ordered takeout of two large quesadillas with fajita beef and pozole. The total was $30. The beef was the scrap charred pieces of meat and was super salty. The salsa verde had no actual flavor to it, it was just heat. The pozole was all fatty pieces of chicken and the flavor was not there. I was excited for this place to be amazing based on the reviews, but if you can't make a simple quesadilla correctly, I have little hope for the rest of the food. Especially for the outrageous price of $30 for scrap meat. We will not be coming back.

A hole in the wall in an olds strip Centre . The service fast and friendly. The food very good. Vegetarian options. The vegan option is guacamole. Authentic dishes and TexMex favourites. Worth stopping

I found this place when I was in the area looking for tacos, and this restaurant fit the bill perfectly. The tacos were a nice size and very filling. I will say the fajita meat wasn't my favorite, they needed some more salt in my opinion but that's easily fixed. I went on a Sunday night and it happened to be karaoke night. I was only there for about 40 mins but everyone who came on the mic was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant, it was a great experience.

Writing this to help you guys improve. Ordered a caldo de res yesterday to go and there was absolutely no meat on the bone. It was just a huge bone and a huge piece of fat. Was salty too. Also, ordered a quesadilla to go and it was salty aswell. Please next time check what you load into a cup of caldo. Paid 24$ for it all. Was definitely not worth, Hope you guys improve.

The huaraches taste great. I highly recommend trying them. Although they do not have handmade tortillas, the huaraches and sopes are freshly made.
