The Tacos here are really good, some are more delicious than others. Our favorite was the original Fish Taco it was amazing. The real Star of this place was the Habanero Salsa, it was spicy yet sweet, but also full of amazing flavors. The staff here is fantastic, very attentive and friendly. I wouldn't bring kids here, but it's great for a casual eating out for adults.
Food is horrible. You order food at counter and then they bring your food out. Nobody ever comes back to your table to check on you. Shrimp was undercooked, salsa was nasty, and even the charro beans were not good. The only thing that was good was the pork tamales and the chips. The only reason we came is because I had some gift cards to use. Thank God because I will never spend a dime of my money on this place. Will never come back. Everything is Ala carte, so beans and rice have to be purchased separately. The only reason I give this 2 stars is because the tamales are pretty good. So overall, this place is horrible and I don't recommend to anyone.
lovely atmosphere. great service! okay-ish food. crazy high prices for the serving sizes and how the food tastes. i can only assume prices are so high because they have to cover the crazy rent in the distillery. still, i have eaten incredible tacos for a fraction of the price, and these were not even yummy.
I drove by today to see CLOSED on the front doors, YAY! It's about time! I hope they stay closed and something worthwhile goes into this spot. You go downhill quick, but not quick enough, serving Talapia Tacos for ANY PRICE! I used to be a fan of Berryhill but it's been a long time since I've been. I went in for Fish Tacos, their Signature Dish, of course. But when I learned that they were made with Talapia, I passed. I guess I could have gotten Shrimp Tacos instead or Enchiladas. But after all of that, I simply got a Cheeseburger. It's not as if the 2oz of fish on the taco would be that much of a cost, even if you used Snapper, Mahi, or Alaskan Pollok for that matter. But to use Talapia and still charge what you do, you might want to get a clue. Vegetarian options: Vegan options are readily available. Kid-friendliness: Bring your kids great atmosphere. Parking: Tons of parking even on the busiest days. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheel chair access. Dietary restrictions: If you like frozen imported fish, this is the place. If you prefer, fresh and local, this isn't the place.
Loved the Berryhill in The Heights when we lived there. Moved to Oak Forest and were disappointed in the fact that there were wait staff that left a lot to be desired and the food was not as good. Fast forward a year and we saw the manager from the Heights BH at this location and it has improved immensely. It is now as great as the one in the Heights-maybe even better! Counter service, little wait for food and great staff. We are so happy; thanks to the manager whose name escapes us at the moment.
These fish tacos are amazing. 1 taco is well worth $5 cause they give u a lot of fish. Whole place waa clean, service was fast. I bet the rest of the menu is good, but i just want more fish tacos.
They can NEVER get the order correct. We have picked up there a few different times and the taco are always wrong. On top of that, they are always cold. Not sure why we keep trying.
Ordered shrimp tacos, requested the original grilled shrimp tacos, grilled well. Shrimp looked and tasted like thsy had been boiled or not cooked at all. Geniuses placed pico in the taco shell first; so, you know how that turned out... a white, wet, mushy mess. Wish I could post the picture.
The place really looks like a movie theater from the inside and out but once you're inside it still feels cozy very cool decor and theme the food is cheap but freshly made and high-quality Baja style Tex-Mex very good fish tacos that kind of taste like funnel cake almost but with fish in it trust me it's good. Waiters are both friendly helpful and very attractive, well the girls at least lol. $5 special margaritas several nights a week and I really like this place come at least a half dozen times a month.
Good thing it was taco Tuesday. 3 soft taco for 8 bucks. Taco was alright. The fish taco as the best out of the tree. Added a 8 buck margarita and got a 20 buck dinner. Not sure if then taco are worth 5 bucks each though.
