Lafayette Police Department

After attending the Citizen's Academy with LPD, I have a better understanding of the day-to-day operation of their department. The biggest takeaway was the ride-along, where I experienced their work in real time. It's not all drama and pursuits like you see on television. Sometimes it's tough calls and compassion. The professionalism and aptitude of the officers and staff I met during the program make me appreciate the quality of the department that this city has been successful in securing for its citizens.

have problem neighbors. have called cops 2 times. one time they never showed up. second time they pulled into parking lot and then left. makes me feel super safe in this town.

After watching a show called See No Evil with regard to the murder of Mickey Schu by Brandon Laverne I was compelled to write to commend the amazing effort by the Lafayette Police Department to solve this case. This shows that while there will always be "that rogue officer"...the mass majority of our police forces are honest, hardworking people who put their lives on the line to protect and serve our communities every day. AMAZING work Lafayette Police Department!!!!
