Large apartments with exposed brick and courtyards loaded with plants and trees and fountains give this small community a lot of character. Management seems nice and reasonable. Great for UNO students as campus is like 2 min away as is the scenic Lakeshore Drive and Lakeview region of NOLA. Immediate area slightly sketch but not bad, and the security is good anyways. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be in a quiet part of the city or any UNO student for sure. Oh and I noticed reviews about roaches being everywhere...I have never once encountered a live roach within an apartment. Besides, this is the deep dirty south; roaches abound. Keep your apartment clean, and you probably won't ever see one either. If you do, call it a Palmetto Bug, offer it a crumb, and all will be well.
I have been a resident here for a little over 3 years and I love it here! The staff are friendly and professional and respond to your requests in a timely manner. The maintenance crew are professionals and make sure that the community we live in is clean. I love the amenity of the Monday-Friday trash pickup. The front office is always doing wonderful things for the community such as seasonal raffles and door prizes for seasonal door decorations. The community is very diverse with elderly residents, families with young children, and college students. The community is also very diverse with different nationalities. My stay here has given me a great piece of mind as a resident.
Feels like home! Everybody is super friendly. The staff and maintenance groups are just superb! Any issues are handled within minutes. Maintenace guys are professional and knowledgeable about work orders. I have been here 2 months and loving it! Thanks Chateau at Lake Terrace for a great experience.
Apartment price is two high, for the area when it use to be $900 with no washer and dry it then went up to about 1400 for a one bed room that is sad when you can go stay in river ridge la, and pay $1235 for a two bed room. Y’all need to lower y’all prices I understand that y’all did a lot of renovations but it still looks the same to me.
We have lived here for about 3 years and we really loved it the first 2. Maintenance was on point and trust worthy. Management has always been quick and incredibly kind and helpful. Grounds are beautiful and well kept. Once the new owners bought the place they didn’t want to pay the maintenance right so now new people came in and they don’t really fix things. Just “come back later”. Construction is CONSTANT like all day and into the night 8am-8pm. They’ve been renovating for over 6 months and it’s been a pain dealing with debris all over the place and loud banging right outside your window. There is a lot of car break ins in this area but that’s to be expected when living in Nola. I would say the pros and cons balance out. It’s a really good spot for students and parents so if that’s you’re thing it’s a great location.
I have lived here almost a year. The management is super responsive, and the maintenance men are very friendly and helpful. The apartments were built in 1963, so they have cool features you don't see anymore. Every month they have drawings for things like $100 gift cards, movie passes, Jazz Fest tickets, etc. Monday through Friday, we have concierge trash pickup at our front door. The are two clean reasonably priced laundry rooms that are open 24 hours. The peaceful old N.O. courtyard feel is enhanced by the sculptures and working fountains. I love hearing the water at night. This is the nicest place we've lived in at least a decade.
Whenever something needs maintenance, the staff gets really rude and acts like it's your fault that things aren't working. The entire complex is always crawling with roaches despite "routine pest control." Apartment is overpriced. They never seem to have their parking situation together and they're always telling different stories about that. If you live here you should be able to park here without consequences, period. There's no excuse for that. Gates and locks are constantly broken. I feel like I'm overpaying for rude staff, unguaranteed parking, roaches, and crime we get emails around once a month, sometimes more, about crimes in the area. Neighbors are always loud and rude but I guess that's not really an apartment fault, just depends on your location in the complex. I'll be happy when I can move out.
Lived on First Floor. Fairly Quiet, site includes College Students. Management very attentive to their tenants paid for and cleaned my $300 area rug for my living room when it got soaked by a plumbing leak and forgiving. Generally safe location located next to a Papa John's, Yummy Sushi and Hibachi; also about 2 miles from The Parks Gym best gym in the area for the price and Grocery Store as well as Lake Ponchatrain with surrounding Restaurants. Would recommend.
If I could give no stars, I would. The place is managed by nepotism. The manager is the owner's daughter, so no need to ask for someone to complain to when you have a problem with her being rude and incompetent or her drunk boyfriend walking around. Safety was a concern when I found out that 1 single master key opens every door and past employees and contractors never returned master keys, so you don't know who actually has a key to your apartment. Stray cats everywhere and bugs everywhere. Maintenance is nice and attentive though. Unfortunately, when you tell the office about a maintenance problem it doesn't get fixed and they always forget, but when I tell the maintenance guy, it's taken care of. Maybe maintenance should manage.
I have lived here about four years, and this place is fantastic for me. There are some restaurants nearby this community, and it also has one bus stop just beside the community. If you want to go to downtown or UNO, you can take this bus toward CBD. The staffs here are very helpful, they always solve your problems immediately, and they make this community clean, quiet, and gorgeous.
