Lakeland

Wow, train is leaving for New York Penn Station at 6:03pm tonight and will arrive 24hrs from now at 6:50pm...My hometown, N.Y. State ...Take me with you!... Hey a train is a train ...it gets you where you want to go. I Have never been on THIS train, but the station is beautifully clean and quiet inside and the attendant, is that what you call him? (A few months ago) He was very nice, patient and friendly when I asked about tickets and a few different destinations & times even though he knew I was just curious and wasn't going anywhere...Yeah, he was cool with that, very knowledgeable. ...you could tell he loved his job...Awesome job in the travel industry.

I was in Lakeland on Thursday May 4th. Had lunch and decided to take a scroll along Lake Mirror. Sat on a bench and got bird poo on my hands. Walked over to station to wash my hands where the elderly African American man didn’t want to allow to wash my hands. I enter d the bathroom anyway and washed my hands. The ignorant man followed me into the bath screaming that the bathroom was only for customers. I finished washing my hands. I restrained myself from knocking out the old geezer and left the station. He threaten to call the police. So the general public can’t use an Amtrak bathroom unless he buys a ticket. What a jerk. An over zealous employee.

The worst train station ever!!!!!!!!! Not once in the last two years I been traveling been on time, children the altering also travel and it's not fair for no one!!!!!!! It's really bad, and it's not really the lakeland station, but from where ever it start. A very annoy passager.

Depends on where you're at and what your are doing.... It can be fun or just another drive.
