Rooms were decent, lots of plugs, comfy bed. Not having a microwave was inconvenient. Stayed on ground floor, room had ants. Staff moved us to another room also on ground floor. Still had ants, though not as bad. Good pet policy. Starbucks on site was a huge plus. I've stayed in a few hotels near the airport here and they're all tired and mediocre. They know they will make money off travelers regardless.
Had a great experience staying here for 10 days whilst working locally. The breakfast is fantastic, gym is good and the cleanliness and decor are great, particularly in the rooms. The reception staff, in particular Josie, were welcoming, kind and always willing to help. My only advice to prospective guests, avoid rooms with an adjoining door. The guest next door to me had their TV on nearly 24/7 and you can hear everything through that adjoining door.
I had a terrible stay. At midnight, I discovered that the toilet was leaking water into the bowl. I had to fix the flapper myself. Then at 1AM, a horrible noise that sounded like a hairdryer started coming from the wall where the TV was. It took me a while to figure out that it was a bad motor on the mini-fridge. I unplugged it and the noise stopped. But the worst part was, starting around 1AM, there were loud thumping noises that sounded like mini-earthquakes every 5 minutes or so. It felt like I was living underneath someone who was lifting weights and dropping them to the floor. I'm someone who rarely ever complains about hotel rooms. But I finally called the front desk and they offered very little in support. At this point, I've fixed their plumbing, diagnosed their fridge problem, and now I finally have had it with the thumping noise. Management didn't offer a new room or offer any sort of rebate or credit. They merely reported the thumping noise to security. Completely useless. Thumping went on, well past 3AM until I finally fell asleep. In the morning, as I checked out, the front desk acted as if nothing happened, not even an apology, and I had to rush out to catch the airport shuttle. The only good part about the hotel was the super-friendly airport shuttle driver. Even the free cookies they give you were disappointing, and went stale quickly.
Large, comfortable room with a door that opened onto a grassy area and walkway around the lake. I mistakenly thought there was a complimentary breakfast though. The dining area is set up in the AM like any hotel with included breakfast so I made my little waffles and ordered some juice. Was quite surprised when an 18.00 tab was placed on my table! I mentioned this all to Tiffany at the front desk as I was checking out. I didn’t think she had heard me because she was working on the computer to finalize my bill. Later, as I was about to pull out of the parking lot she called me and said she had spoken with the manager and wanted initiate a refund on my cc for breakfast! I told her I paid cash and she still wanted to track down the receipt and refund the cost. The fact that she went out of her way to help absolutely made my day Tiffany provided a level of customer care that I thank her for and that makes a person want to book the hotel for future visits to SLC.
Flight was missed so we were out up in the double tree. We arrived about 1:30 AM, we missed the last shuttle to the hotel, I called and was told the airline should price a driver and to call them but if not they would come and get usairline provided a Lyft, we arrived and they were so so nice and caring! They remembered my call. I can't tell you how refreshing it was with treatment received. Our room was clean, they made sure they had room for us on the booked shuttle in the morning. Not only did we get the warm cookies when we arrived, since we didn't have our luggage, they actually shuttled me to the local convenience store so we could get necessities they did provide us with the basics as well as toothbrush, deodorant and shaving cream. Christina and the other staffsorry can't recall their names Such a great experience, especially when we missed our flight, had no luggage - they made what could have been awful so pleasant. I give five stars - for the cleanliness, hospitality, accommodating our situation so nicely. If I'm ever needing a hotel in the SLC airport area - this is where I'm staying!
Very accommodating given last minute bookings by Delta due to flight cancellations. It was around 2 a.m. but staff was still curious and polite given how they were bombarded by weary and understandably cranky travelers. Staff maintained professionalism and answered any questions we had. A "diamond club" member tried to cut in front of the 30+ of us that were there and they kindly let him know they were the only staff available and that he would have to wait like everyone else.
Staying here for one night for a morning flight. I called to book the airport shuttle, and the phone rang for 5 minutes with no answer. I got through on the second call to request the SLC airport pick up. The driver was lovely, but we waited longer than necessary because of the unanswered phone call. We checked in at 5pm and there were no spots available for the morning airport shuttles. I was told that they were fully booked. I asked about cancellations and the receptionist said there would not be any. The room was fine, but there was a box cutter left in the middle of the floor. I don’t recommend booking here if you want to rely on their airport shuttle system. You may find yourself paying for a taxi anyway. If you need a box cutter upon arrival, maybe you will luck out.
From check in to to check out, this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The restaurant/lounge has great food and a good beer selection. I would consider this a perfect business stay near the airport. Good location and great amenities. Highly recommend.
I arrived on November 30th and checked out The following day on December 1. When I arrived home, I realized that I had left a set of boots in the closet of the room. The boots contained underwear, my weekly medication, and a very expensive pair of reading glasses. That afternoon I called the hotel, which informed me I needed to go online to fill out a lost items report through a third party company. I checked back several times that evening and the following day. I received a notification from the company that my items had not been found in the room. There’s only leaves to plausible explanations as housekeeping either did not thoroughly clean the room and find the items or, the items were taken by housekeeping either way the overall monetary value of these items cost them an extremely long term customer, and Hilton diamond member. Not only will I never stay at this establishment again. I will do everything in my power on business and pleasure to not stay at another Hilton property.
Our stay started a bit of disappointment with the front desk, they were not particularly rude but felt like they don’t welcome us as they welcome others just because we didn’t dress elegant?! Other than that the hotel itself is huge with great , clean rooms. Parking can be somewhat challenging if you prefer to park close to the entrance.
