One of the best Chinese restaurants I have been to. Hands down the spicy version of the vegetable fried rice is the go to for the vegetarians from India. Do not forget to mention ‘no meat, no egg’, to be a little cautious. The complementary tea was fantastic! One of the cashier/server was really really nice to us and very friendly.
This is definitely a very underestimated Szechuan restaurant!!! Very authentic and savory Szechuan fishes and the owner is from Sichuan. The fish is so fresh and tender, and the cabbage is very umami! Only the blood in mao xue wang is not fresh at all… but the owner told us it’s some requirement here for the food industry so it’s expected. Overall an awesome Szechuan restaurant!!!
This is one of the few Sichuan spots in midtown Manhattan and worth a try if you are often in the area and craving good Chinese. This place had pretty amazing reviews but I found the inside to be underwhelming. The food was solid and I have a feeling that it delivers really well, even though we dined in. We decided to split an appetizer and three entrees. We got the Kung Pao Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, and String Beans and Eggplant. It was probably more that enough food for two people. The food was pretty much standard Chinese but done really well. The Kung Pao Chicken had Sichuan peppers in it, which can make your tongue numb, but had amazing flavor. This place is definitely on the pricier side, even for midtown. It is nice enough that you could go here for a work lunch or a date. I will not return but only because there are so many amazing Chinese restaurants in New York. This one just does not warranty a spot on the repeat list.
Very clean and good food. I was surprised to taste the cold noodle as I have eaten in Chengdu China. Highly recommend to guests there. It is so good and I decide to go there once again before leaving NY. Their crispy cucumber is with fresh bean source on the top. Not spicy but very freshing up for summer.
We came across this restaurant totally by accident as we were walking on 36th and felt exhausted and hungry. We definitely did not regret it. Every single thing we ordered was extremely tasty We do recommend !!!!!!!
Good spicy food. We tried the fish stew and wontons for spice, and string beans with baby eggplant for non spicy. Everything delicious, just make sure to balance out the heat with rice and tea!
I’ve been to this restaurant many times and for various meals and I have ALWAYS had an amazing experience. This place is pretty authentic and has tasty Chinese cuisine. If you’re a bit reserved about trying new things, they also have Americanised dishes so they are able to cater to anyone. The staff is always light and humorous. Food arrives to the table in a timely manner. I highly recommend this place.
Our new favorite chinese restaurant in Manhattan! Our favorites: - beef with broccoli - prawns with pecansFood: 5/5
Authentic Sichuan restaurant with good service. Good for quick lunch in workdays and friends gathering for dinner. Photo: Lunch special-Fish fillet in black bean sauce
We came in for lunch on Sunday and the restaurant was empty. This was the first time we didn’t have to wait to get a table. The food was great as always, but I do realize that food portion is smaller if you order on food delivery apps. Highly recommend:
