Great little diner, solid breakfast food...and you get cornbread with everything! : Iced coffee is very good and the breakfast sandwich was excellent. Takes a little while to get your food, but it's made with love, so it's worth the wait. Vegetarian options: Like most diners, there are plenty of meatless meal options. Parking: Parking lot is a plus, especially in this part of jersey city.

I had the mixed berry pancakes and one egg over easy. It came with blueberry, strawberry and dried craisins which didn't really go with the fresh fruit. If I knew, I would have said hold the cruising or put them on the side. The coffee was good. Service was fine though not exceptional. The atmosphere was ok but not great. They may have some better standard meals than what I got.

Absolute hidden gem. we went here everyday. Easily the best ratio in terms of price-service. 10$ for a Big burger and fries that taste so good is pretty rare in this area

5 stars for the cornbread!!! I truly love the cornbread and coffee. Last time I stopped in, the staff informed me of a wait for the cornbread and I was not leaving without it. They even gave me a few extra pieces for waiting. My tummy Thanks You Larsens!Food: 4/5

There is always wait at this place, I get it. We have never had to wait this long with larger party size. My issue was the waiting over and hour and 15 minutes after placing our food order 4 breakfast entrees for the staff to tell the chef to “push my order”. I guess that is restaurant terms for rush it. All this while other guests walked in placed orders / walked out with the orders. Another table walked in 45 minutes after we placed our order and they were already eating and asking for additional items.

This place has the uttermost buttery soft, sprinkled powder sugar goodness named "cornbread." It looks like a specially crafted warm golden muffin, made specially for one. I love it!! The Larsen Special english muffin with Taylor ham and cheese, a homemade delicacy. Must come in with an empty stomach. One order consists of 2 beauties. Price is super reasonable and environment is friendly. Everyone has a smile and are ready to make you feel at home.

My wife and I received great service, the food was warm, fresh and delicious. The prices were reasonable and to top it all off they gave us 2 complimentary cornbread cake slice kind of thing that was spot on. Will definitely be returning.

Larsons is staffed with really nice friendly people - what you would expect from an old school soul food diner. Most times you sit down they bring you a free fresh cornbread muffin out of the oven. Blessedly cheap food. Their grits bacon and eggs are good. Fresh squeezed OJ. They do chicken and waffles made to order and its always . If you may have partied too hard and need some relaxing gospel/r&b vibes and real homey food to make you feel whole again the next day, this is your neighborhood spot. I've been coming here for years and hope they stay around forever. Highly recommended.

Absolutely love this place I don’t live in New Jersey but every time I visit I have to stop at Larsons from the cornbread to the grits everything is just phenomenal!! I wish I lived closer I would go here every day!!
