I read about this place on Google and the reviews were good so I wanted to try it. I was looking for a local place that was reasonably priced and I could not have found a better example. I've been craving coffee and pancakes since I got to the US last week although I was nearly tempted to change my mind when I arrived at Nick's as the cooking smells of bacon were almost irresistible, but I stuck to my original plan. Proper strong coffee, not like the weak as dish water version most places in the US usually serve. And the pancakes were perfect! The ladies were lovely and made me feel really welcome, plus there was a steady stream of locals collecting to go food who clearly love the place too.
Really awesome American diner. You feel at home, the family that works here is nice and welcoming. The pancakes are HUGE and delicious, while the price is really low : Really suggested for a great breakfast!
I love this place! Words can’t describe how good every single thing they make comes out of there! Uptown my Fav I gotta get 2! What French toast you know you can cut like this with a plastic knife stop playing with them! I’ll argue anyone down hands down about this place and I live all the way in union Nj so that says a lot I’ll drive just for this place! Thank you you guys!
I was looking for somewhere to eat because I’m from out of town. Went on google and saw the great reviews for this place called nick’s. Old school breakfast spots always scream to me. I ordered a simple bacon and cheese on a roll. My wife ordered fish and grits. The place was crowded so I thought I made the right choice. Well boy was I wrong. The food lacked everything. No flavor and I forgot to mention we ordered home fries to share which were burnt black. The best thing about this experience was the old school coffee. Do yourself a favor and buy pass this spot.
The food is very good tasting most of the time. They give good portions at an economical price. This is an old gressy breakfast spot that usually hits the spot. The dishes & silverware are not aligned but it's fine; they're clean enough... They serve classic American dishes. Do not expect fancy gourmet or healthy dishes. They offer mostly breakfast but also have a few items for lunch. Recently the usual old crew has not been there so the food is not consistently prepared. Yesterday my grits were perfect. Today they're thick & lumpy. Plus the eggs & sausage are overcooked. The old chef ensured the food was consistent. I'm not going back until the old guy that likes to yell is back. Parking: Only street parking but it's tight so you'll have to park illegally Wheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair access at all, too small overall.
I love!!! This place everyone here is like family, and the food is amazing.
An Old school Best eatery delicious Always great cooked food I been coming fir over 23 years I never had a bad meal
I've only ever been happy with their food. We've ordered multiple times and have always been content and full. : Pancakes are delicious and so is the french toast. All of their omelettes are good too!
Grits and cheese, beef sausage and scrambled eggs with wheat toast and lemon tea, always a keeper!!! Today was pancakes, eggs and bacon with lemon tea
Great place for some good old breakfast and lunch. With two great owners.
