A self-serve Peruvian restaurant. The food is delicious (amazing french fries) and there's lots of space. They are not usually very crowded. Prices are reasonable. I have trouble understanding why they are not more busy, but they are in an area with lots of restaurants (like XLB) and competition is tough. Highly recommended.

Went here for lunch yesterday as I'd never had Peruvian cuisine and needed to cross it off my list. The sandwich I had (their signature sandwich) was delicious and the pork was well cooked and flavorful. The soup of the day was hot and tasty. The purple corn juice tasted, as advertised, like Christmas and was a nice accent to the meal. Had a churro for dessert and it was a great meal. I'd get an entree next time as they were huge and looked tasty.

I had originally given this place five stars because their portobello sandwich was one of the best vegan sandwiches in town, but they've since taken it off their menu. They're no longer vegan friendly which is too bad. The service has always been hot and cold. Sometimes super friendly, other times very moody. Their sauces are great, but the food is incredibly salty.

I like the food a lot. But the service (specially the cashier). She was rude, I thought at the beginning that she was stressed out or it was a rush, but she was rude more than once and she got angry just because I asked a couple of question. I have heard the same from other people too. It is really terrible, as Peruvian I can not deny that the food I got was really good but I did not feel comfortable at all in the place. I hope they can improve that. Peruvians are very well known for being kind and respectful, I think this person is damaging the reputation of this place.

Great food and never a wait. If you are looking for a place to start on their menu get the chicken or pork plate. Unlike anything you will find elsewhere in Portland and fantastic.
