So I have officially ate here over 5 times now, my boyfriend is from Senegal thought it would be cool for me to try food from his country .....I am totally addicted !!!! Tonight is literally my 6th order so I will be ordering in June that was our agreement lol However a cool note is my bf travels from Brooklyn to Queens in my food is still hot!!!!
Food was old, I waited 3 hours almost 4. They sent me an old food and when I asked for my refund or discount, he played me. Every time I call, he is doing something. Soon ill post the pictures. Old salad with eggs in it. Plus, I have to wait 3 hours. You don't play with your customers like that. Because the business is surviving thanks to the customers. You gave me your number to call you for a new food or money and now you are acting like you don't know me. Good luck dear!
It is not your regular cozy restaurant but the food is good and the people are friendly. There is a tv so you can watch sport while you eat. I had the lamb, and it was soft and tasty. I also ordered plantains as a side. Always nice to add a sweet side when you have Senegalese food. I will definitely go back.
I have been to this place on multiple occasions for Senegalese food. I tried their Peanut Stew with Lamb and their Jollof with Lamb, both fabulous. Also, they are relatively generous with the portion on top of the food being delicious.Food: 5/5
Worst customer service ever. Do better! My husband had been a loyal customer to this restaurant for years, they even know him by name. Sometimes the food is horrible but we continue to support anyway. Adama is the best cook over there, she's the reason we go back. Today we got our usual plate but the portion size was smaller than usual and with their recent price increase, we were not happy with the portion size we received. My husband calls to speak with the manager/supervisor and he was very rude and dismissive, not what a loyal customer would expect when they have a concern.
Amazingggg Senegalese food. If you ever want a spot that has tasty lamb, this is the place! The women at the counter was very friendly and took care of us very well during the meal. The roasted lamb was very flavorful and scrumptious, and the rice on the side had just the right amount of spice to it! The meal serving was so big I ended up taking more than half of it home and eating the rest over the next couple meals! Excellent hidden gem in Bedstuy
This is some of the best food I've had in NYC. I didn't know what to order but I got some lamb dish and another with chicken and millet. The millet was so fine and delicious, I've never had it like that. The food is so packed with flavor. The craziest thing is that when the chef gave us the food, she said, I hope you like it... Well, I not only like it, I love it!!! Highly recommend!!!

SÉNÉGAL Eat the World NYC review: At both locations of Le Baobab Gouygui the first is in Harlem, I had only ever been for lunch service, which offers a few rotating daily selections. Dinner service opens up quite a few new options, including these three jaw-droppers. So far, not a dish from this franchise has disappointed, the chefs are doing Senegalese food right. Particularly delicious were the plates of grilled lamb known as dibi debe here, and the chicken brochettes, both covered with the signature onions and mustard relish. Your local Brooklyn Senegalese spot. Food is always . I probably get take out from here every two weeks, not necessarily a fancy sit down spot. Tasty, great portions and healthy food. Thiebou Djen Jollof Rice with grilled fishis the go to hereit sells out by like 4 PM lol As an alternative, would also get Jollof Rice with Chicken.
