Great place to eat. Have a caffe. Work or read. A lot of bread and pastry options
Very plain turkey cranberry sandwich but very friendly staff. Lots of people walk in and out and through because there are bathrooms and other businesses through the back door.
I come here regularly for reasons not related to liking their food. The staff are very friendly. I just don't like the food. It isn't badly prepared or anything. I just find the menu uninspired. Their soup selection is never appealingly. Most of the salads are not vegetarian friendly. They used to serve breakfast all day, but stopped now. It's a decent place to get an ok sandwich, but it just isn't great.
Depending on the time you get there the wait could be long. They have great sandwiches. They just discontinued my favorite sandwich but that's okay. I usually get a combo salad and half sandwich. Last time I was there I was surprised that I had earned a free lunch! Even better!
At 10am on a Saturday a guy comes out to mop the patio. It wasn't particularly dirty or anything, I'm guessing it's the daily cleaning. However couldn't he have done it BEFORE the place opens? Now I'm eating my bagel sandwich accompanied with the fresh smell of bleach, not too mention my dog is sitting in it now too.
This is a great place to hang out and grab some fresh bread, soup, or salad. I enjoy the various places to sit inside and outside. It's actually very spacious. The parking is 2hr free parking on Lincoln and 3hr free parking in the lot behind the shop.
My favorite sandwich is the Pilgrim's Progress with turkey and cranberry sauce. It was the perfect place to have a casual lunch with old friends. They're cinnamon buns are my mother's favorite. She prefers them without the sugar glaze, so I ask if they have any in back unglazed.
I rate my visit a 0 because you logged my visit because of my cell phone - the other person paid - and then sent me an unsolicited email asking for a rating. I am not naive but I do resent it.
Sandwiches, salads, soups are delicious, I'm a long time fan. Favorite sandwiches are the veggie cucumber and chicken with balsamic, the Primavera salad has been a go-to for more than a decade! Coffee is Peets, they also have espresso drinks.
Pretty terrible coffee, and the bakery is nothing special. The interior is nice, clean and comfortable, and not too crowded. Good place to hang.
