Don't forget to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. They compare thousands of booking web sites and normally will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is the best rated in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you choose this place you for sure will love it I'm sure! The hotel stay was pretty good. However Danielle and Jasmine made it great. They presented with positive attitudes and great customer service. They made sure that any and all questions were answered thoroughly, and they took the time to explain and clear up confusions in reference to my reservation. Good job ladies!!! You rock!!!
The stay was nice, but the employees are what made it great! Shane R. who works at the bar was a PHENOMENAL employee. This young man truly knows the definition of service. He was so attentive, polite and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Gabriella W., who works at the front desk, exhibited lovely, professional service on multiple occasions throughout my stay. There was a problem with the room and she quickly was able to get me a new room and ensured everything was up to par. She was so nice and her customer service is impeccable. Chloe J. was another amazing employee who had wonderful energy, great conversation and made us feel like we were at home even though we were miles away. I wish every hotel had a Chloe in it. My stay at Le Meredian was positively magnified because of Gabrielle, Shane and Chloe. Thank you all! On another note, the food in the hotel restaurant was quite tasty!
I do not recommend staying here. The receptionist and Maintenance guy was extremely nice but this hotel is legit raggedy. When we first walked in, an open water bottle was left in the room, the air was not working, the toilet couldn’t flush if the shower was running, and the panel on top of the fridge was exposed. The lobby has a sour smell, but the hallway to our room was fine. Next time I’ll pay a little more and stay in a different hotel. HOWEVER, we did appreciate housekeeping cleaning the room daily.
So I give this a 3.5 only because of my room and the current construction. The service was great, food is delicious. However I feel that because of the renovation and the noise that came with it, it brought it down. The view from the pool and weight room area is wonderful! Can't wait to see how this place is when it's done. Just want to shout-out one last thing! Your employees make this place! Cheers!!
Did not feel safe at this hotel!! I traveled by myself. When I got in the room several things felt off. I went to call down to the front desk and my phone was discounted with no wire to reconnect. I called on my cell phone, and asked for maintenance. I waited several hours and no one ever showed up. I didn’t feel my belongings were safe, so I took a video of my room before leaving. Once in my Uber I looked at my bank statement and they had charged my card when they weren’t suppose to. I called and the lady was super rude and could not explain to me the charges. She said they would credit me back my money. I didn’t return until the next morning. My room key didn’t work to my room. House keeping was outside my door but hadn’t went in yet. I went down to reset my key and speak with them about the charges on my card. After calling the night before they charged my card even more! The manager at the front desk was very helpful and reset my room key. When I returned upstairs one of the house keepers was walking out of my room and asked if I need it serviced, I said no. I get in my room and maintenance still had not fix the issue. I got ready for my day, and as I was about to leave, I realized my perfume was gone. I even double checked my video to make sure I had it with me and the video showed it underneath my sink before leaving my hotel. At this point, I was not safe in this hotel. I packed up all my belongings and asked for a refund immediately. I had to fill out a report and I left. This incident happened January 14-16, besides my money being refunded, I have not received any compensation for my stolen item. Please lock up anything small and valuable because it will get stolen from here.
I was in NOLA for a conference and had the privilege to stay at this hotel. Now - what motivated me to write this review? First, after arriving at the hotel thoroughly drenched in OJ after a mid-flight accident, they were able to accommodate an early check-in. Getting out of cold, sticky jeans was priceless. I never expect early check-in but for them to come through with me when I was so sticky and miserable - amazing customer service. Second, check-out Rachel at the bar. Delicious drinks I had some ginger, sparkling, cognac concoction - try it!. Rachel is awesome and somehow manages to keep everyone happy and taken care of while dispensing parade advice. A boring afternoon trying to write my dissertation and sipping a latte was actually enjoyable at her bar..
Overall this hotel was pretty disappointing. However, the staff were friendly and they did give me an early check in. Everything seemed quite dirty, the hotel lobby and elevator floors were sticky and the hotel had a slightly off putting smell. The room, while well appointed, was just worn down and dark. The bathroom ceiling was leaking and the paint had peeled off into the sink. The headboard and chairs were also dirty and stained, it does not live up to a 4 star property at all. The gym, however, is super nice! It must of been added on, but it was a nice place to get a work out in. The rooms and lobby however just felt like they need a deep clean.
Hotel needs an upgrade but they're working on that from the top floors down I've seen. Staff not too bad but when you mention the ice machine is down and the reply is "on the other floors it works" I get a bit surprised. Breakfast is never included I think, you get to.pink from a card and you'll spend 20 to 30 usd which is fair for the place its at. Don't expect big portions though. Swimming pool is nice, gym is good too. Bar at the ground floor is 10 years past the due date t doesn't smell fresh and you get the little flies that make it seem something is rotting. Staff is making the best of it though.
I had the pleasure of staying at this newly renovated hotel. I really love the atmosphere, and the renovated rooms were absolutely amazing. If you’re hungry, you must try the fried green tomatoes at the bistro. If you are in the New Orleans area, this hotel is in a very, very good location. I highly recommend.
