Le Pain Quotidien

An OK place to have a snack, but meals are quite expensive for the quantity and quality delivered. 24 Eur for one small plate of greens and a shot of soup with some bread as Brunch is too expensive even for Paris.

Im usually a big fan of Pain Quotidien but unfortunately I purchased a Speculoos spread here in September which already expired in March 2021 I don’t have a chance to get a new one since I don’t live in Paris and it was even a gift to someone..If the business owner sees this review: Please make sure that other spreads are not expired, this can be really harmful to one’s health. Also: Happily accepting a new one if you could send me one

very nice experience we had in Paris. After visiting quite some overpriced paces, this one felt quite reasonably priced for Paris. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

After reading some of the reviews I was surprised to have such a positive experience when I went here myself. I took some take-away, a mix of breads and the seasonal veggie lentil/chilli dish. Food was great and so was the service. So while I do understand that others had negative experiences here, for me it was the opposite. My guess is that it’s mostly about timing. So for example, as the week-end brunch hours might be too busy to properly enjoy eating here, why not go another time instead? That’s actually true for all the busy brunch spots in big cities, not just in Paris, timing makes a huge difference.

Tom was very helpful and appreciated his fluency in English, especially since our French is very limited. Food and service made for a perfect start of the day!

The place is very nice and cozy. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Gabriel is a very kind person. As a bonus he knows both English and Italian. Posto consigliatissimo!
