Has been a welcome addition to the neighborhood since its arrival. There sandwiches menu is varied and large and the sandwiches are very good. The hot prepared buffet is very good and also very varied with a catered meal quality. The grocery selection, especially the olive oils, vinegar and cheese, provides a wide assortment and a decent value. The other grocery items are broad as well but varying in price. The produce and vegetable selection is better than the local "chain" supermarkets and is usually well priced in comparison as well. The butcher shop has great meats. The hand tossed pizza are a find. In the summer the gazpacho is a real winner!
Bought a slice of chocolate cake which had not even a bit of chocolate taste for $ 5.99. Waste of money on top of poor service from a cashier who did not even reply when I said hello and had a cold attitude. Self check-out would be better than that. And please, enhance your product quality.
Wide variety of packaged foods and food stalls where you can pick up sushi, pizza, hot buffet breakfast/lunch bar and more. I tried their breakfast bar which had many types of omelettes, French toast, tater tots they did not taste fresh, medium fries eggs, bacon, etc. It costs $12.99 per pound.
Love this place food is always fresh. They have lots of different cheeses great place to get cold cuts to make a charcuterie board. I go and get their cranberry cheese it's my favorite.
Amish Supermarket bet. 2nd. & 3rd. Ave on 45th. St. Manhattan. I was there before many times about different hours. Very well organized with products. All is set up on the shelves with price tag and name of the product. Prices to my suprize almost same comparing to Fruit & Vegetables Vendors along 2nd Ave. left side towards 23rd St. downtown. I am coming there bc. I have access to choose a fresh good coffee from the list. My favorite is French Vanila Black with sprinkle with Cinamon powder only. Secondly what' my intrest is to get some cooked food from the buffets stand with a variety meat, fish, salads, pasta, variety of vegetables. It's pretty good furnished, eyes itself are become bigger, saliva fills mouths, temptations to make a bigger dish to make due to a personal requests. Price is right $12.99 per pound. Section cash register near the window facing the street. Payment: Cash or Credit Card. After payment and getting plastic utensils, napkins, there us a tables section where everybody can sit it, and make a short prayer with wishing a friends " HAVE A GOOD APPETITES. I took a Fish with variety of a Salad and some Coffee mentioned before. Good place to be with a friends to satisfy hunger and to be chatting what comes to mind. My regards to the followers. Rare find in NYC. Great food. A surprise at the lox and cream cheese but it's NYC so too with the rubin hero. It was great well worth the stop
Fantastic grocery store that stocks pretty much everything you need. It's very vegan friendly as they stock vegan wraps, snacks, tofu, hummus, amazing fruit and veg, plant milks, vegan dairy products etc,. But it also has a great meat counter, cured meats, dairy etc too. Only downside is NYC prices but this isn't their fault.
Delicious take out food here!!!! We LOVED it !!!! Also just about anything you could ever want in a grocery store as well. Great service and staff!!!
Supermarkets and eating places in Manhattan are almost always a mixed bag. They try to cater to a diverse clientele, which is not a feat that's easy to achieve. Amish Market uses its name to convey a message of purity and freshness, a very tall order. Amish Market somehow manages to squeeze a great variety of products in a relatively small space. The store even offers ready-made lunches and dinners that are popular with the crowd that works in the office towers next door. Grocery items don't come cheap in Manhattan and the ones in Amish Market are just as expensive.
Traditional foods and grocery for household. I recommend you come and shop for Thanksgiving for the family meal. More delight for the Thanksgiving seasonal holiday.
