Le Pain Quotidien
"We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts. At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu."

Rustic feeling cafe has clearly labeled menu with calories. The vibe was good. I ordered a sunny side breakfast bowl. It was good. The menu said it comes with a side of their artisanal bread but they didn’t give me. They provided when I asked for it. They also asked me not to take pictures of the interior of cafe. Vegetarian options: Clearly labeled vegan items
Quick and friendly service, mellow and comfortable atmosphere, and great food. When in town, I visited three times in two days with different parties due to the convenient location and everything I ordered or tried was great. 10/10 would recommendFood: 5/5
Delicious food. Quick service and a lovely atmosphere. Lots of options on the menu and good size portions for the price. My partner had the sunny side up breakfast bowl and i had the oatmeal topped with fruit. Would highly recommend.Food: 5/5
I’m here on a vacation in New York and this is my go-to coffee and breakfast place for every morning. The coffee is fantastic and the food is incredible as well. The best part is the atmosphere at this cafe. It literally takes you back to France, with a pleasant and soothing ambiance. A perfect spot to come alone to work or just relax with a book. The service is amazing and quick!
We went to this cafe twice, during our stay in New York. On our first visit everything was wonderful. The server was attentive polite and helpful. She was organising and even though it was busy she was on the ball. The food was great. This what made us go back…. I can’t say our second visit was the same, I had the same dish that I ordered the first time and it tasted awful, the hot drinks were lukewarm and the server was running around like a headless chicken. We waited quite some time for her at the start to take our order, or in fact to bring a menu! She was amused by the faceted that we waited so long quietly!!
Really beautifully decorated space that is has a calming color palette and relaxing music playing. The pastries were delicious and the latte and turmeric latte were tasty. However the service was a little slow, hence me taking off a star. Not by any fault of our server- he was just the only one serving the entire cafe. Nice place to come if you’re not in a rush!
I love coming to this LQP location. The food is delicious, with a lot of healthy options, and the staff is very nice and attentive. I always enjoy seeing the waiter, Babu, who has a great vibe and always makes me feel at home.Food: 5/5
TLDR: I loved what I ordered, our server was amazing, there are plenty of seats, and they don't rush you out. What's not to love? I got here around 5:15pm and the place was pretty empty. FYI if you're dining in, you need to order with a server. Cute rustic decor. I got the English breakfast tea, which comes in a cute little teapot. I got a hot water refill too. The only minor thing is the water isn't very hot. The tea was a bagged LPQ brand tea. The milk comes in a cute tiny pitcher. I wanted a dessert that was not too sweet, my server kindly suggested the Belgian chocolate brownie. It was just what I was looking for! It was a moist, dense, not too sweet brownie. My friend got the chicken soup. It was delicious and hearty. My friend and I caught up and didn't feel rushed even when it got more crowded. They accept tap/contactless payments. 2 clean unisex single bathrooms in the back. I would happily come back here again. ***UPDATED 3/5/24- Got a chocolate croissant pretty good, banana bread didn't care for it, too dense and dry, and a blueberry muffin didn't care for it, too dense and dry. I prefer my sweets moister and fluffier.
Update The atmosphere of the establishment is appealing; however, the coffee leaves much to be desired. It is arguably the most disappointing coffee in the city, lacking flavor and quality—falling short even compared to Dunkin’s coffee, which, while not exceptional, has more character. It resembles water in taste. It feels like they are trying to rip off the tourists. I also emailed customer service but haven't received a response. My answer to that is to go to Starbucks; they have amazing customer service and always contact you back right away. Also there is going to be a YouTube video about this in the works.
Le Quotidien had a charming cozy aesthetic especially when escaping the cold. The food was nice and fresh, especially the artisan bread. I particularly recommend the the mozzarella sandwich which was incredibly delicious. Other notable mentions include the refreshing side salads and lemonade.
