We were in town for a weekend for a wedding and had brunch here twice because we enjoyed dining here so much. The staff here are all so welcoming and personable, it felt like you were in no rush despite how busy it was and that they really wanted to make sure you enjoyed your meal. We chatted with the chef briefly as well and it was so nice to hear how passionate he was in creating new dishes and ideas he's thinking of for the future.  The duck with eggs over a sweet potato biscuit was so rich and filling. The apple and zucchini slaw was so fresh and lightly sweet, I wanted to buy a jar of these to take home with us. We also had the butternut squash lasagna, and I can see why it is a favorite! All of the desserts were so decadent, the bread pudding in particular was really very nice, something you can split with someone else.  Anytime we find ourselves back in Virginia, we'll be coming here for a bite!

Very fun quaint restaurant. Plenty of seating and well staffed. Friendly and helpful wait staff. Shrimp and cheesy grits, salad, sweet potato biscuit,peanut butter cookie and orange marmalade cookie exceptionally great. The flavors were blended perfectly. A real jewel of a place. I’m not one to normally leave reviews but I randomly ran into this place about a year ago and now it’s probably my favorite little hidden gem in VB, the food is so amazingly good. I can’t explain how good it is, the quality of all the ingredients is what makes every dish I’ve gotten taste so fresh and perfect. Staff is amazingly sweet and nice and overall great customer service. There’s a slight wait on the weekends as expected but that’s only because the food is worth it. They’re  definitely worth the hype and I almost wish I could give it more than just 5 starts. Definitely a must go in VB

First time here. Relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Got lucky on a 'not too hot day' to sit outside in the back. Ordered the Duck Hash. Best duck ever, not dried out. The eggs were all perfectly runny. Enjoyed the salad and cantaloupe that came with the dish. Really freshened up my palate. My wife ordered the Crab Cake Benedict. The Benedict came out great and was done really well. Crab was fresh and paired well with Benedict. We split the Hunter Burger. Definitely on my top 5 burgers. It was cooked to order and the aioli was amazing. Somehow had more room for food and got the strawberry shortcake for dessert and ordered their homemade chocolate chip oatmeal cookie to go. Strawberry shortcake was good, a bit different as they used something like a shortbread cookie for the cake. Had the cookie later on in the day and it was soft on the inside and still crispy on the ends. Our server Katie was really friendly and gave us lots of information and recommendations about the menu. Recommend for everyone to try and will definitely be coming back.

This is such a pleasant, relaxing place to eat! We sat outside behind the restaurant and it is lovely. The food is fresh and delicious but a bit overpriced. The employees that we interacted with were kind and helpful.

The food here is great, fresh, and local. Their restaurant feels very homey with eclectic decor and the service is always kind and friendly. They even have ducks and chickens out back. I would definitely recommend stopping by this cute restaurant.

3 of my friends and I came here at 2:30pm for lunch after our church conference and they gladly sat us even though they were closing at 3. We sat on the back patio. Cute cute little Cafe. My best friend and I got the open face tuna melt with potatoes and salad and shared a sweet potatoe ham and jam biscuit. It was so delicious. The atmosphere and service were great. We went out back and checked out the chickens and geese and decor. Would highly recommend for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

This was my first time back in a good while...the once small Cafe has expanded and has multiple inside/outside dining areas.  Service today was quick and efficient even though the place was packed.  Based on the crowd, I do recommend arriving for lunch/brunch shortly after they open.  I had the chicken pesto sandwich and a mimosa, both were delicious!

This Place is beautiful, they have outdoor seats, Sitting in the woods and be close to the nature. They even have chickens in the backyard which is so cute. Staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. Brunch and coffee are good, good is tasty and pretty, coffee is fresh. Price for the food and everything is reasonable, all in all, it’s a 5-star experience, would definitely go back again.

What a wonderful fun place. If you haven't been here, add it to your places to try. You won't be disappointed. Great food and great service! Can't wait till next time.
