I enrolled in Lincoln tech in 2005 and had a great experience! I thought the teachers are very helpful! I put in my hard work and graduated as a top gun in 2006 and got hired into a technician position as soon as I graduated and as a technician i found out its always a learning job! There's no such thing as a technician that knows it all!! I have worked with a lot of guys that have been in the automotive field for a long time and they spend a lot of time on the computer looking up and researching things! You can't graduate from any automotive technical college thinking you know everything! vehicles are forever changing! I learn something new or an easier way of doing things everyday! Lincoln tech provided me the knowledge and the documentation to get a great job! And now I am a proud owner of SPD performance! I wish the people that put negative comments would also post their grade card or their attendance record! I'm still friends with four other people that graduated as a Topgun intern and they all work or own a business in the technical field so my words of advice to anyone that is looking to attend Lincoln tech is, if you don't know the basics or never held a wrench you will struggle! there's too much information to teach you everything! no college can do that or else It would be a 10 year college! you really do need to know the basics and have a background before you attend Lincoln tech (take high school automotive or small engine classes first, if your school has it ) and study hard! Lincoln tech can't get you a job, they do not have the power over businesses! you have the power to get the job with good grades and attendance!

I hope to one day be a welding Instructor there. I have over 10 years experience and numerous welding certifications. Must of all I want to give back to the students and teach them what I know about the welding field from my experience. Its a long way from Fort Wayne, IN but I would be willing to move to Indianapolis if I got hired on at this campus and for the right pay.

This school was the absolute biggest mistake of my life, I was lied to at 16 years old to get me to enroll, I was promised job placement and some financial assistance to help with rent and things. Upon arrival I learned fast that I didnt qualify for anything of the sort, got stuck with a huge rent payment, couldnt get a job in the industry due to my age and insurance, literally was forced to live in a ghetto housing development where you couldnt come outside or have anything on your porch without it being stolen, 99% of the teachers couldnt care if you were learning or not. I left after 6 months just due to the fact I literally couldnt survive 9 hours away with no income and a massive amount of bills. Im now 28 years old and im still paying the student loans that have trashed my credit and have been taking from my wages. This school doesnt do a thing but help you pass your ASE testing. Youll save alot of time and money, not to mention life hassle to just get an entry level job in the industry and work your way up. I started as an oil change tech and worked my way up to getting MY ASE certifications and now work for GM. If I could have 2 minutes to speak with any young aspiring technician, I would advise them to steer clear of this place at all costs, you will be lied to and manipulated! Did I mention every day for 6 months they sold me cigarettes out of the cafeteria well before I was 18 and never once asked for I.D.?

I have been enrolled in the auto program since March of 2017, I have nothing but positive reviews about this place and would recommend anyone who is serious in pursuing a career to attend! The teachers have real world experience and pass that along in their teachings and are great with students. From what I can tell most of the bad reviews are from people who thought they could come here and not put any effort in and skate by. but this is a school, and like any school they have rules which are clearly stated both verbally and in writing. The only negative that I could see is the Financial Aid department could be better but my overall experience has been an amazing one thanks to all the staff and what it provides!

If I could give a lower review I would. I attended this school in 2012-2014. Very few of the teachers cared about the students from what I could tell. Majority of the vehicles they have to work on either were missing so many parts that they didn't run or had bad engines/ transmissions. Everything they teach here is taught at central nine career center and c9 charges less than 5000$. When I signed up for this school I was not supposed to get any loans. I never got any information about any loans being put in my name. Or anything. My rough total cost to go to this school was supposed to only be about 18,000$ after I dropped the high performance class. The last 2 months of being here I get a letter in the mail saying that in about 6 months to a year my students loans would be active and I would have to make payments.. I called lincoln tech and talked to them about it and not only did they put loans in my name but they also put loans in my dad's name. Total loan cost was almost 36,000. Between the 2 of us. Not entirely sure how that's possible for something that was only supposed to be 18k$. Also. I signed a paper before starting this school stating I did not want student loans, I wanted to pay by the month. When i told them this theu stepped back and said well you have 2 months left to pay off this balance other wise you have the loans.. now I'm stuck trying to paying on these loans that i cant afford, not even in the career field because no one will hire a Lincoln tech student. Yes that is a real excuse I was given while trying to get a job in my field of study... I'm very upset I was lied to and deceived. Do your self a favor and go else where this place will screw you over faster than any other i have seen...!
