I lived there for many years! My parents moved me out of Brooklyn when I was younger to give me a better life in the suburbs of New Jersey. S/O to Apt 13H and 22A. I will never forget the "base" that Brooklyn put in me. Always and forever from BROOKLYN N.Y.!!!
Take their time fixing things. Scaffolds have been up for the longest. Pools have gone from 3 to 2. Apartments are never upgraded or fixed for tenants. They think pipes never get old. Security management has their guys trying to scam residents by thinking they need passes to move furniture that is garbage and pay them. Threatens them with violations. Our neighbors are elderly and the guard is recorded saying to pay his manager since furniture is being taken out and they can’t prove it’s garbage. So sad for people who have lived here for so long.
Run by a corrupt board and property management company in the business of taking advantage of low income folks who are unfortunate enough to reside in their squalid housing. They will make up rules, nickle and dime you whenever they can, give inconsistent answers to questions, and then just ignore you altogether. I requested an itemized receipt for repairs and costs from my old apt they claimed we owed them and they could not produce one, yet continue to charge us arrears. They also had us move into a new apt covered in disgusting black mold and thought it was acceptable. I’ve already filed multiple complaints with various NYS and NYC departments.
Responsive and safe Property Management, the grounds and it's surrounding areas are upkept quiet nicely. This complex is within walking distance to multiple train lines, J, M, Z, L, G, parks, supermarkets, and hip restaurants.
Home to a huge Jewish community these houses are strictly for the Jewish community I'm not sure how much it cost to live here but I'm sure if you inquire if you can find out Community quiet most people stay to themselves in this Housing Development this area is Williamsburg Brooklyn right behind Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn
Service is improving. The hallway mirrors were removed, which in my opinion, is a safety hazard. #7 Management won't answer the phone.

I lived in Lindsey Park at age 6 when the buildings were being built around 1963 -64. We lived there for 7 years. We had a nice new apartment 15A with a big terrace view on the 15th floor in building 1. My sister & I enjoyed two swimming pools in summer, 4 playgrounds, the "big" park across the street to play all year round. We had lots of friends from all cultures. We were a Puerto Rican family and ours friends were Asian, Italian, Mexican, Russian Jewish, Cuban, & Swedish. My first boyfriends at age 6 was two Korean twin boys who would fight over holding my hand, ha-ha! At age 10 our Korean neighbor's son would hold an umbrella over me when it rained & we happened to be walking outside together. So polite! It was a wonderful place to grow up in, not perfect but mostly wonderful. At that time we had something like a close circuit tvs where we could see anyone buzzing our apartment from the lobby. There was a security guard in the lobby & we felt safe most of the time. We had the oocassional thugs other kids in the elevators coming in from the neighborhood trying to mug us for pocket change bus money whatever they could rip off - hey it was Brooklyn tough stuff - like I said it wasn't perfect but I have fond memories of the place. I'm glad it's still standing!
Why does no one use the pool in this place! I look down on the pool from the Lorimer station every day and its 90 degrees out and humid as hell and NO ONE IS IN THE POOL! I'd be up in that junk EVERY DAY if I could.
I've watched this place go downhill over 30 years. It's bad enough that the last management company & board were totally corrupt and recently convicted. Now we have new management Metro Management & ever since they took over, there is ALWAYS an elevator out of service sometimes both basement elevators... how are we supposed to do laundry & I haven't seen a full wk yet w/o complaining about the lack of hot water around 8am how are we supposed to shower. We used to have 3 operating pools 6 if you count the kiddie pools, but now we're down to 1 adult & 1 kiddie pool daily. The elevators are always dirty. I'd like to come home & be proud of where I live. I'm now embarrassed to have friends over. Looks more & more like public housing everyday.
