SCE&G ought to be ashamed of themselves. This spot has an icon that would mislead you into thinking this is a public park. But it is most inhospitable. You are met with signs and warnings, urging you to stay away, and declaring that they will tow your car if you dare to park. Next time you see a flyer or a video advertising all the "wonderful recreational opportunities at Lake Murray," just remember this picture.

Don't drink the water. Don't plan on listening to your own music unless you have 100,000,000,000 watts to blast it louder than everyone else. It's a good time though

I love it here, but it gets so trashed. Beer bottles, cans and thousands of cigarette butts litter the area every weekend.

No parking. :-( Walk long way to get there. Don't understand why SCE&G can't make this public & accessible by cars?
