We've eaten here twice and both times have been great. We ordered our food to go and some items were missing... luckily, I checked our bags before leaving the parking lot. I didn't have any issues correcting our order. The employees were friendly and apologized for the error. We will definitely be back.
Chicken was smackingreally good. Honestly filled me up too fast to eat much more of anything else. Service was nice, they care. Southern hospitality
Nice location. Clean, staff were friendly and attentive. Lizards Thicket is usually a safe bet for a good meal at a good price.
Great homestyle meals that taste like Grandma's! The service was superb and our family left absolutely pleased with our visit. The cornbread and rolls were also amazing. Wish we would have had room for dessert, but the meal was so satisfying we couldn't splurge on anything additional. I'm sure the pecan pie and blackberry cobbler would have tasted heavenly as well. If we are ever in the area again, we will certainly return to Lizard's Thicket!
Great little lunch spot, loved the food. Just your normal home cooked stuff and for a good price too
Good company and a good breakfast. I particularly like the corned beef hash. Most restaurants don't serve it anymore.
Portions were child size and I had to ask for everything, silverware, my already paid for rolls and cornbread, a plastic bag for my to go food. Server said the kitchen had an attitude today. I've had more food at different locations. Gave 3 starts because my family and I were hungry and we were able to eat before getting back on the road. Will go to another location next time.
Was hoping for some good southern food but very disappointing. This appears to be a small chain restaurant. Meal was around dinner time and there was like a handful of customers which should have been my first indicator. Country fried steak...could barely cut it with a knife. Chicken and dumplings watery. Cornbread hard. Peach cobbler crust was gooey and white, appeared undercooked. Makes Cracker Barrel look like a gourmet restaurant in comparison. Pretty much fast food with no drive-thru. Server was nice. Won't go back.
It's nice being able to enjoy lunch with my Mom in an atmosphere that's welcoming and laid back. We had the fried pork chops, cabbage, and mac and cheese. Everything was hot, chops tender and service excellent. Jennifer was our server. She recognized us when we walked in, was attentive without being overbearing and funny. She's one of the reasons Lizards Thicket is becoming our go to places when we're out.
It's a local chain but not all of the stores are made equal. This one however is great. The food is always hot and cooked perfectly. I always appreciate that they season their food well. My favorites are the chicken strip dinner or the salmon patties. The only thing I can say is the service isn't always consistent.
