I’ve stayed in Boston for years and have my old reliable hotels but decided to revisit reviews and found that many of them are having service issues or are getting more rundown. I was surprised that this hotel was getting far better reviews than anyone else. It was a great experience. The location is epic and service was at par with some luxury hotels. Rooms were great restaurant bar and outdoor dining incredible. Highly recommend.
I loved my experience here. The staff was super friendly, from the bellhops to check in staff and the restaurant/wait staff. Everyone was so accommodating. The environment is also classy and clean. I was with friends in the restaurant and had drinks and service in the lounge. Our room and bathroom was clean and cute. I definitely recommend it and would like to visit it again.
We were given a room, floor 9 of 10, at 1pm instead of the standard 4pm check in. The bell hop and woman at check in were extremely courteous and friendly. Complementary bottles of water at redemption not the 8$ bottles of Fiji in the room. Good size room and bath. The one small downside was the double beds, although comfortable, were a small for 2 adults. Not much space for folded clothes for a family of 4. One of the 2 elevators was out of service and so made for longer than normal wait times and many stops. Good location with cafes and restaurants around.
We stayed at AKA for 2 nights and had excellent service. The staff were all very nice, the location was great walking distance to typical Boston tourist spots and the train. We were celebrating our anniversary and they upgraded our room as well which was a great touch! We will stay here again if we visit Boston in the future!Rooms: 5/5
Warning New management. Terrible service and Harassment This hotel recently changed management companies so service may have declined dramatically. I recently purchased a hotel room for my wife. We live outside Boston and she was going in for an award ceremony that night and then to work in Boston the next day. I got the room so she didn’t have to worry about traveling home late at night and turn around and go back. I purchased the room on my card and booked the room to her name. We have two different last names. When she arrived she provided the confirmation, my name who paid for it, her name where the room was booked and gave a drivers license. They told her they didn’t believe her. That why would someone book a room for her with a different last name. How could we be married with different last names! Welcome to 2022 people! They harassed her at the front desk. She asked to see the manager. The manager said I don’t believe you either. He said he would follow her to her room. He stood right behind her in the elevator room and said you are up to something, I don’t believe you, I don’t like you. My wife got into the room. Bolted the door and was scared to leave.
Built in the old Boston Police Station, it's conveniently located in the Back Bay district. Directly across the street from Liberty Mutual's office. The rooms are spacious for a city hotel and very comfortable. The beds are divine to sleep on! I love that the walls are thick and you can't hear your neighbors. The decor is contemporary and attractive, with dark colors... very masculine. The lower level has a popular restaurant and bar called The Precinct that serves very good food with a friendly staff. You can walk just about anywhere from here. South End, Chinatown, North End, Newbury Street. Lots of choices trendy restaurants, bars, and shops. This hotel is my favorite place to stay when I'm in Boston.
One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in at the price point. I was pleasantly surprised by the service, quality of rooms, and the restaurant. I will definitely be staying here when I work in Boston!Rooms: 5/5
Nice, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. I didn't venture thru the hotel at all. Checked in, went directly to my room & stayed there. Bed was super comfortable as were the pillows. Great shower. I stayed one night. No idea about the area in terms of location. I was visiting my son at Berklee College of Music. The hotel was about a 5-7 min drive from the dorms at 160
I booked her through Loews as recommended by my company. New ownership under aka back bay. The clerk who checked me in did not extend me my Uber credit as requested. By the time I asked again, it was my last day and so I only benefitted from one trip. The only amenity worth talking about is the coffee in the lobby and the gym down stairs but this. Headboard was ripped/torn. Pictures in my review. Room would not get below 74. Front desk said they’d do something about it but never heard from them. This is not a 5 star hotel.
Well appointed hotel location. The rooms are showing some wear headboards are pleather and peeling and I found a lump of hair slapped against the shower stall, implying it wasn't thoroughly by house keeping. Beds are very comfortable, pillows are too soft but very abundant.Staff is friendly, and the decor is modern. At that price point, I'd have been better off paying a bit more for the kimpton. If you score a deal, then stay. My Expedia status provided a food credit and free upgrade, otherwise it probably would've been over priced.
