This place was the favorite restaurant close to my nephews' house and was their favorite place as kids. They came to town for the holidays and  of course wanted to visit. Food quality is very good and service got quite an improvement. Kids said it is not the same. They still have the yummy green salsa!  Parking: The parking at this shopping center is  a nightmare go with time

This place has been a staple of the community for decades and it was great to visit again!!  The taco shell is amazing. I don't remember it being so fantastic! Of course the puffy queso is what they are known for. I would eat these 2 items daily!  I was disappointed with the cheese enchilada, which was hard. The beans and rice are typical. The chalupa, aka tostada thank you taco bell was ok. Would be better if it was with taco meat.  Only 5 locations left! Come eat here people!!

I've been enjoying Tex Mex food at Los Tios for a long time. Since they first opened in Meyerland the '70s. It's always been good but since the original owners sold it, I've noticed a slight "dialing down" of the spiciness. Everyone is different but I prefer that this type of cuisine to have stronger flavor without having to add a lot of hot sauce. My biggest complaint is the enchilada gravy. Very bland and too much of it. It would be better to have a chili con carne gravy on cheese enchiladas than the low flavor gravy they use. That's just me and I know that the locals that frequent this location must be okay with it. Anyway, I'm glad Los Tios has survived this long and I'll still return but will choose different things that have more flavor.

The looks are modest but the food is great. The salsa was one of the best I have had in a while. Chips were fresh. The 1/2 lb veggie fajita was generously enough for two and the 1/2 lb chicken fajita was enough for 2. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. Will definitely return.  Management should look into painting/replacing the ceiling tiles and vent covers.

We just happened upon this restaurant.  Fabulous place to eat. We were seated immediately, even though it was fairly busy. Jose was our waiter. He was very attentive to our table. We ordered beef enchiladas and panchuga sp? Monterey. Both plates of food were EXTREMELY hot. Both are full of flavor. It was also nice that they had someone that was constantly filling our tea and water glasses. As well as our bowl of chips/salsa. The restaurant tables were beautiful. They had cloth table cloths. As well as cloth napkins. And the tables were a good size to hold all the plates and glasses. We will make it a new place to eat regularly now. You want delicious food?! Stop here. You want great service?! Stop here. You won't be disappointed

Honestly. The food and service use to be really good but over the past 6 months I've been 3 times and truly hoped it'd be great again but this will be my LAST. I can't tell if they actually want customers or not because they're not friendly at all anymore. I sat at the bar most recently and it was a terrible experience and I'll leave it at that. The quality of the food has gone down as well unfortunately. I'm sorry to say I'm done with this spot. ‍

I would certainly take into consideration, all of the average and below average reviews. I came in at a time that was not very busy at all and the service was very subpar. My server was on the younger side. I appreciate them, allowing me to order off the lunch menu five minutes after lunch ended however, this is my second time getting food from here I’m not impressed by the flavor nor the service.

The food was cool! We would definitely go there if a family or friend invited us to go. Our server, Brianna, made our experience great! She’s the main reason why we gave this rating!

First visit 8/13/22. Good food, nice service.

We enjoyed a couple lunch specials.  My wife had the tortilla soup and a salad, both were very good.  I went with and enjoyed a cheese enchilada and a bee fajita taco, also a lunch special.  Pick two items off the lunch menu, you have 8 choices, all of which come with rice and beans.  She ordered a lunchie margarita and we ended up getting two, guess the waiter misheard our order....probably won't order one of these again.....too small for $5.99.
