The forest is excellent for birdwatching. Including the great grey owl, snowy owl, northern hawk owl, and northern saw-whet owl, whip-poor-will, black-backed woodpecker; yellow-bellied flycatcher, boreal chickadee, and magnolia warbler. If you have a birding life list, this is a place to fill in your hard to find birds. There is plenty of opportunity for hiking, snowmobiling and primitive camping. There is about 75,000 acres to explore and this includes about 10,000 acres of wetlands; that is why there is an abundance of birding opportunities. The Wildlife Drive is open from late July through August, so make your plans accordingly.

Tried to cross the border through this jungle. But then I realized that it wasn't the Canada-America border I needed to cross. It was the border in my heart.
