Great little spot in downtown Boston. I like shopping for gifts there. The staff is nice. They are always pleasant when I enter and answer all my questions. They wrap the gifts I purchase and make them look very pretty. There is aso a loyalty program that is free that I signed up for.

I had a very negative experience at Lou Lou’s on Washington St. in Boston, MA this past week. The previous week I had purchased a pair of earrings. I ended up not needing/wanting this pair of earrings anymore. I went to the store with the earrings still in their bag, wrapped in tissue, price tag on, etc. I did not have a receipt as I had unintentionally tossed it out. I approached the sale’s associate and expressed my wish to return and/or exchange the earrings. In a very curt, cold manner she explained that they did not offer returns or exchanges without a receipt - “store policy”. This information would have been inconventient but fine had I been told about it in an appropriate, friendly manner but the sale’s associate was so unhelpful and rude that it turned me off completely and I will not be going back to this store. It’s too bad, I have purchased many things from this boutique in the past and it was a favorite location of mine for gifts and last-minute accessories for weddings, etc. I would have happily continued as a customer here but unfortunately I will not be going back. I was very diasapointed with this location’s customer service. Hopefully the attitude is addressed and doesn’t continue scare additional customers away.
