We stopped by here on our drive from sinks canyon, to our camp up the road about 9 miles. The folks at the store were so friendly and full of joy and pride in their place. They have many cabins for rent and allowed us to tour them all and all I can say is wow, how very cool. This is not your uptown kinda place. Its very rustic, and the cabins are very country, old fashioned rustic decorated and with many just basic ammenties in some, a wood stove for cooking, example, 2 story with 3 beds upstairs. Quilted bed coverings, log cabin style homemade furniture in some, Showers inside and just plain cozy and for those who truly would love a mountain retreat thats back to the basics in log cabin style. Our kinda style for sure. The lake is viewable from the store. We didnt go to the lodge, but it is a newer log cabin style. There is also an old wooden teeter totter for kids and tire swing, which I couldnt help myself getting in. Definitely a place for those who enjoy the mountain air with high elevations.

We come to Louis Lake Lodge at the end of every summer, we have been for about 6 years now. The lodge is a wonderful, peaceful place to gather and the cabins are comfortable and rustic feeling. It has always been a wonderful place to go and the owner still finds new ways to make it even better year after year. I love the little kids play cabin that was new this year, so cute! We also saw bird houses just about ready to put up throughout the property so next year's visitors might have some bird families to amuse them. Wood is always cut just right, easily accessible, and ready to use in wood stoves and camp fires. We are always well pleased with the happy and personable service we receive here.
