Not all the bells and whistles of other Love’s Truck Stops I’ve been to but sufficient. Shelves were a little disheveled but maybe they were short staffed and couldn’t keep up with aesthetics. Cashier was friendly. My biggest issue was the sprinklers came on while my dog and I were standing in the fenced-in dog park. It was 9:00pm but that is still relatively early for summer hours when traveling.
The women's restroom was very clean which was great. While we were there food was also being switched out in the heaters for fresher options. The staff were really friendly and quick. We stopped with our travel trailer and there were a couple of spots for RV parking near the gas station in front of the store.
Apparently we’re pumping our own gas now, I didn’t know that until I observed other customers pumping their own gas. Gas pump wants dollar amount, I don’t, I want to fill up. I go inside like I would for any other gas station because I have to pay inside for a fill up, no problem. The lady at the cash register says she can’t release the pump, that I can punch in any amount and I will only get charged for what is pumped. Okay, I got it, enough said, but she continues, …”it’s just like cash, you can give me money, but you would have to come back into the store to get your change.” Was the cheapest gas on I-5 today. Nice restroom. What are you talking about lady, I wasn’t talking cash purchase, the subject of our conversation is credit card purchase and you already answered that question.
I dont understand why this place is still open. Came here to use their tire pass service. It is not working. Card reader at the pump is inoperable. No one at the diesel desk. Employee acted as if I was there to waste his time. No help, no services, just individuals who act like they wish they had a better job. Hope this place gets better than what it is now.
Very friendly staff. Clean bathrooms and a nice fenced dog area, And next to a wonderful food truck court!!!!
When ever I'm traveling and I see a Loves station I stop. They have food, CB stuff, radar detectors, LED lights for your big rig, oil, nick-nacks, ect They got cool things. If you haven't stopped at one before your missing out. Just stop, get a hot dog or something. I promise you'll see something you like and want.
Traveling around the country while grappling with the difficulties caused by the pendamic, i couldnt help but notice how badly it had hurt the population in terms pf mental health. I rarely ran into a "happy person" The cultural climate in one mid western town was so bad that i left. In short what i had seen was unsetting until i landed in Loves travel stop between Salem and Eugene Oregon on 5 South. What could have been another depressing Holiday turned out to be a heart warming experience. The staff is approachable, upbeat, polite, kind, and well organized. The place runs like clock work. The shower, well that wonderful hot shower in the heart of freezing cold winter chases away our discontent.
I wish I could share how this place really is but I'm pretty sure I'm still under a NDA All the people giving 5 stars should work here for at least 3 months before giving a review, if you don't want to or can't, ask a non-manager, red shirt employee how their experience has been
Just opened today 8/16/18 @ 0700 & it is gorgeous. So bright & open, well stocked of course. The staff is truly genuine with their joy and warmth. Other store associates were on hand for the big day & added to the joy & charm of the new location. I personally thought it was breathtakingly beautiful.
Paul , "Operations Manager" verbally abusive towards women. I hope Love's takes this seriously. I just changed this review from a 5 to a 1. Need to include that Mgr. Matt very wonderful to speak with. Greets you with a smile, is warm, friendly, and reasonable. Had written a stellar review of the employees here who deserve it and are wonderful to guests. Here's some of what I had written : Manager Jeremy very friendly and helpful explaining Wi-Fi while traveling with 20' U-Haul truck + car tow. Pleasant to deal with + staff friendly. Jean is very knowledgeable about Oregon roadways and full of great, sound information - very friendly and professional to deal with. . Parking easy to get an RV spot in. Showers , laundry, and restroom very clean and new decor.
