Lowes Foods of Murrells Inlet

The store is clean. They have plenty of checkouts open/staffed. The employees seem nice enough. So, it seems to be a fairly high quality store and I would expect it to have high quality produce. In fact, we only go to stores like this FOR the produce, as we can't afford the higher prices for all of our groceries. When we make the special trip, get home, and find that the produce is overripe or otherwise nasty, or the one time that it did taste great but even after a good cleaning had the entire family spending most of the day lined up at the bathroom, it's time to stop flushing our money... Go across the street. We haven't had any issues at all there yet. Perfect every time.

I would give this store a 5 if it wasn't for the high prices. Wal-Mart is a quarter mile past it and I can easily save over half the money. It is a very cool store with great produce department and meat department as well. They also have a bar located inside to sample numerous beers and wines. Very different than any other store I've been to before. Staff members are very helpful and polite.

Best selection on the expensive dude. But the deli is amazing. The bakery is awesome. The produce always looks fresh

Great wine department in terms of price and selection. Their steaks are the best in the area. My 2 biggest complaint are the produce department and the gas rewards. Whatever fresh produce they have seems to get picked clean during the day and not restocked throughout the day. If you get there late it is really depleted.They are also slow to restock popular items such as Diet cranberry juice, Diet Dr.Browns cream soda, and certain brands of whole been coffee. Whats with the Dr. Browns diet cream soda? It never gets restocked, but if you ask management they know exactly where in the "back" to find it. Is someone hoarding it? I also have a major complaint with gas rewards. You earn rewards up to 25 gallons. However, if you fill your car up and use 15 gallons you will lose the remaining 10 gallon reward. It does not carry over to the next purchase.

A little pricey but can find everything you need. Have a garden of fresh herbs to cut your own. Always clean with very helpful personnel.
