Welcome Lucy Ethiopian Restaurant and Lounge!

Lucy's is more than a restaurant for nourishment, but its a cultural experience and journey into Ethiopia. Our decorum and presentation of the establishment is of a high class welcome.

Every inch of the restaurant has a specific story and was solely created and designed by owner Suzani.

Cuisine:

Authentic Ethiopian cuisine including Vegetarian, Fish, Poultry, Beef items.

Lucy's Story:

Lucy is the common name of a specimen of A. afarensis, a direct ancestor of modern day humans whose ancient bones were discovered in the town of Hadar in the Awash Valley of Ethiopia's Afar Depression. Lucy is estimated to have lived 3.2 million years ago and is the first homonoid skelton to be discovered. She is the missing link in the evolutionary spectrum showing the deep roots of our species in the African continent. Our restaurant and lounge celebrates the roots of humanity in Ethiopia - which you will find in our food, art-gallery, and festivities. We are family owned and operated with friendly staff, delicious food and drink ,and a great atmosphere. Please stop in to eat, drink, relax, and have fun. We'd love to have you!

I missed Ethiopian kitchen a lot and was very happy to discover this place, very tasty Ethiopian cuisine and a cozy place.
This place is a scam. Overcharged for questionable portioning because we were foreigners. A simple small plate supposed to be for 4 people .. the same size as the one for 2 people. We were charged over 60 eur for that one plate. If that was not enough they didn't honour the discount of the online booking which they said they would provide only if we got dessert .. even though it wasn't in the conditions. Food is ok nothing crazy. Service is fine aside from the scamming. We left with a bitter taste. Only later i read reviews of others who went through the same thing.
Do not get delivery from this place. Lots of sauce, very few peaces of meat, and the pita bread was a joke. Plastic taste.. just horrible experience for an expensive overpriced dish.
You don't have some many opportunities to try ethiopian food, so please seize that one. Our main place was especially tasty.
