Luke Hamilton Acupuncture

I've met several acupuncturists, and martial artists, but I haven't met any with knowledge in both disciplines and I can't imagine many have as advanced a perspective as he does. His experience with both Chinese martial arts and Chinese medicine, and the way he's able to bridge the gap there isn't one between the two, is truly special. He's really a holistic healer who knows health inside and out literally. I recently had a very so-so experience with another acupuncturist and it reminded me of how easy Luke was is to work with. I'm not in NY so I don't get to visit him.. I remember that he listened well but that he was able to ask the right questions so we could arrive at a treatment plan quickly and BOOM... "he fixed me".. tight back no longer tight. I think there's also something to be said for Luke's ability to make what is very traditional more palatable for our modern Western minds.. that's important when you're exploring acupuncture. I know for me... I was NOT into the idea before talking to him but he helped me understand and put me at ease. Highly recommend!

I met Luke through TaiChi and we’ve had accupuncture/Chinese Medicine appointments for over a year. He’s extremely knowledgeable, considerate and goes the extra mile to learn about/properly treat your health issues. I’m mostly homebound with rare diseases so I’ve learned to be extremely discerning with HCPs... Luke is part of my core recovery team. I’ve found him to be extremely accommodating in terms of feedback, technique and force. He knows how to listen. Go see him!

There are healers and then there’s Luke. His ability to diagnose by careful, gentle touch is fantastic. And he doesn’t stop at the first surface level symptoms but goes deeper into the problem and all the ancillary aspects that affect it. But, more amazing than that was the energy flow I felt coming from his hands deep into my body and organs. He facilitated and was aware of internal movements that reacted to his attention and focus. Realignment of my spine, ribs and biliary system were accomplished leaving me feeling taller and more centered. It is extremely rare to find this level of care and expertise. His background in hard style martial arts followed by the internal practice of Tai Chi and his training in Tui Na and acupuncture understanding the body’s meridian system are evident in his gentle strength as he works on you. Go, see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed, but rather very happy.

Luke and Team rescued me from daily pain and compensatory hip pain from my patellar bursitis in one session after multiple sessions with other QiGong and massage therapies. I had forgotten about his practice since visiting 10years ago. The combination of acupuncture and wise adjustments removed the pain first day and increased pain for next two days and by Day 4 significant improvements enough to return to exercise to finally 5th day, pain free and gliding! Can’t help feel so grateful of this acupuncturist healer who is so skilled and humble and friendly to be on my healthcare support team. : Sp wonderful that he STILL practices in the Union Square space after a decade! Luke is great. He is currently treating my broken foot and torn ligaments. My injuries are healing, and he is accelerating the recovery process. He also takes the time to explain what he is doing and why which is something I appreciate very much. I am healing and learning!

When I first met Luke I had been limping around for 6 months with a hip issue that just wouldn't budge. I was starting to get in a bad emotional place because of it. In one session 99% of the issue was gone. I walked out feeling like I was on a stable foundation for the first time and it has never returned! I am forever grateful I made that appointment!
