Melissa is such a joy to work with! She is so excited about her work, it is palpable and you can’t help but be just as excited. She makes you feel at ease in front of the camera, and I have no doubt our engagement photos will be amazing because of how she made us feel and the care she took throughout the shoot. It’s like hanging out with someone you’ve known forever which is AMAZING when it’s your first go at professional photos. To top that, she’s so easy to communicate with, responsive, and knowledgeable and willing to provide guidance throughout the process. I HIGHLY recommend her!

I don't even know where to begin with this review. She made our entire day so amazing, she fit in with my group perfectly and was very efficient with time. She made each picture we took fun and stress free! I am so excited to see our final pictures!! I will be using Lux Light for any future events in Northern Michigan and will be recommending her to everyone! If you want some one who knows how to take the best pictures, is super fun & is an enhancement to your wedding day I would recommend using Melissa 😁😍

Fun, professional, and did. not. stop. surprising us! Melissa did our engagement shoot and she and her husband tackled our wedding. Right from the start, she answered all of our questions with enthusiasm, and provided extra details and suggestions before we could even ask. A few hours of standing in the cold, weird posing, and all the endless smiling could have gotten really old. After meeting Melissa and just a few minutes into our first session, we started having fun! Melissa continued to impress, reassure, and make us feel at ease. She made sure we got multiple locations, amazing poses, and she went over the top to incorporate our winter wedding themes. And talk about overdelivering! Melissa got our pictures back to us (WAY more images than she promised) in RECORD time. She also had 3-4 posts and a blog with dozens of shots within days of our wedding - it was the perfect sneak peek to enjoy while on our honeymoon. We've already recommended her to others, and would do the same to anyone who asks! Lock this girl down before she's booked full!

Absolutely stunning!! I cannot say enough amazing things about Melissa and her team. From the start of our experience with them, the professionalism and kindness just blew us away. They were instrumental in making our wedding day relaxed and run smoothly. Their positive and upbeat energy and enthusiasm was contagious and it is evident that Melissa loves what she is doing. Our pictures turned out absolutely incredible!! GORGEOUS!! I cannot believe she was able to capturing all our special moments and beautiful shots of our family and loved ones. We absolutely LOVED our experience with Melissa and Katharine and will be recommending Lux Light Photography to EVERYONE we know!!

Melissa was perfect! I cannot say enough good things about her. We had an engagement session with her and she also was our wedding photographer. We were in constant communication about details, our wedding timeline, and shots that we wanted for our wedding day. She was also helpful with decor suggestions and other ideas about what she had seen in the past and what she had done personally. Her photos are beautiful and she makes you feel so comfortable behind the camera. She loves loves loves weddings and it shows in her attitude and photos. We had a wonderful experience with Melissa, she is awesome!
